I usually have a sorcerer and another spellcaster what would your second spellcaster be and what would your sorcerer spell list be.

I usually like an illusionist/thief and give him all the non necromancy spells.

    The sorcerer gets:

    First Level:
Chromatic Orb (I never seem to use it though)
    Identify
Magic Missile (I tend to overuse this one)
    Shield
Spook (it is tough to make the save)

    Second Level:
    Detect Invisibility
Horror (I tend to overuse this)
    Melf's Acid Arrow
    Resist Fear
    Web

    Third Level:
    Dispel Magic
    Fireball
    Haste
    Remove Magic
    Slow

    Fourth Level:
    Farsight
    Greater Malison
    Minor Sequencer
    Stoneskin
    Wizard Eye

    Fifth Level:
    Animate Dead
    Chaos
    Breach
    Lower Resistance
    Spell Immunity

    Sixth Level:
    Contingency
    Improved Haste
    Invisible Stalker
    Mislead
    Protection from Magical Weapons

    Seventh Level:
    Khelban's Warding Whip
    Limited Wish
    Mass Invisibility
    Project Image
    Spell Sequencer

    Eighth Level:
    Adi-Dalzim's Wilting Horror
    Maze
    Simalucrum
    Spell Trigger

    Ninth Level:
    Chain Contingency
    Imprisonment
    Time Stop
    Wish

    Tenth Level:
    All

  3. Hm... Well until I got ToB I usually had 2 spellcasters but then I decided to use a monk instead of a second spellcaster.

guess its just me but I like to have healing backup even if it is a something like a mage/cleric which can be a very powerful multiclass that can outcast most mages

When I said second spellcaster I meant a second mage.
I usually, have a ranger/cleric in the party.
I was wondering what people's picks for sorcerer spells would be if they had a backup mage that could memorize and cast spells.
