Berserker/mage dual problem

    [​IMG] Hi, I have a berserker that i just dualled to a mage.. for some reason after the instance he leveled up in his mage class (without changing his equipment) he lost his ability to cast mage spells..what is the reason for this and how do i fix it

    does anyone have a clue? i'm thinking about starting over, as there is no point in having a mage who cant cast combat spells..the funny thing is he can still cast identify from the character screen

    I even took off every piece of equipment i have the 'cast spell' option is still disabled. When i do try to put on some armor it says 'mage spells are now disabled', but I cant cast them in the first place!

    BTA - Nice restraint on correcting his double post. He probably knows that he should read the FAQ's @ http://www.sorcerers.net/ubb/faq.html

    My answer - rest again. If you put on armor and then take it off, you loose all the spells for the day (IIRC). Also, start looking for some robes or bracers so you're not a complete sitting duck.

    Question - when you can use your beserker gifts again, will that apply to your mage side as well? In other words, will you be swinging your sword and shooting lightening bolts all over the place? If so, that would be cool (dangerous, but cool!)

    yes, of course..i've been a mage for 11 levels already and everything was fine..as soon as i hit the 'level up' button to go to level 12 (and gain my berserker abilities back) the cast spell button is now disabled

    I have yet to attempt dualing a berserker/mage combo, but I may be able to come up with a custom item (which unless this is a bug, will be considered cheating) that disables the game from preventing you from using your spellcasting abilities once you reach level 12.

    If you want it that badly, lemme know what sort of item you want and if there are any additional effects you want on the item.

    a friend of mine had the same problem with his berserker/cleric dualled at level 9. After reaching cleric level 10, his spell icon was disabled as well. He downloaded the SoA Patch and this solved the problem. However, this was under SoA German version (i.e. no ToB installed); don't know what you have installed. Hope this helps anyway.

    You can't use Shadow Keeper to make items you usually use IEEP and if anybody wants I have a killer custom made kit for bg2 it should work on tob but being that I haven't bought it yet cause of all the games I already have I can't be sure
