Hey, this might seem like a stupid question but anyway. I don't have TOB yet and I was wondering if you bring a Paladin character through SOA, only at the end you choose the evil options, (Keep Blackrazor, kill the dragon etc.) do you start TOB as just a normal Fallen Paladin or does anything else happen instead?

what happens when you become a fallen paladin, do you lose some of your abilities in exchange for new ones?

No, basically you become a fighter who levels up slowly. The only way to regain your abilities is by doing the Paladin stronghold...

Shame there is no anti-palladin option... That would be far more fun. Fallen palladin just doesn't have the same ring to it!

To go from Paladin to Anti-Paladin I think you'd have to do more than "just" take the evil options; there would have to be some sort of way to actively embrace the evil god whose champion you wanted to become. It's the difference between abandoning your old faith and taking on a new one.

I think it would be cool if there was an option similar to Knights of Takhisis from Dragonlance, who are, in essence, Paladins who serve an evil deity. Thy're honorable, they're just, they're devoted... just for the service of evil.

Yes, you can easily justify the concept of a paladin, not an anti-paladin, for an evil god; one who will always keep his word, fight honourably, etc, but who serves evil rather than good. Lawful Evil rather than Chaotic Evil.

  9. The ideal anti-paladin, IMHO, is the Blackguard, a prestige class from the Dungeon Master's Guide. But that's already enough of 3E DnD here.

How do you do that then, Lord Sarevok?
