[IMG] So the (profanity deleted) power cut off while Weidu was doing something, causing my BG2 installation to permanently cease to function. So I uninstalled it and started reinstalling prior to adding all the mods again, and there was another (profanity deleted) 5-second powercut. Now BG2 isn't installed so I can't uninstall it, but it thinks it's installed so I can't install it. Is there any way to force the (profanity deleted) thing to install anyway? (e:bad:baldur.exe provides a 'play' button rather than an 'install' button, which obviously doesn't work).

What OS do you have? You might have to go into Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs to see if you can clean everything up from there.

XP. I can click on 'completely remove the selected application and its components' as many times as I like, and it does absolutely nothing. It tries to run some kind of nicey-nice 'uninstallshield' to remove it properly, but since there's nothing to uninstall and nothing telling it how to do so, this doesn't work at all.

Hey, great! I had already deleted every registry key I could find that related in any way to BG2, but the instructions in that thread that told me what I actually needed to delete seem to have worked. Thanks!
