Do these make any difference in ToB? Do they even come into play?

No, not at all. Be sure to finish them all before entering ToB.

I always remember being mightily disappointed that you can't carry your strongholds over into TOB. After all the effort I went to saving De'Arnise Hold in SOA, it was annoying that once I entered TOB it was gone.

Okay, "carrying" the strongholds over might be a strange concept because TOB takes places a few hundred miles southwards of SOA, but having some crossover would be nice. Maybe there could be a few strongholds scattered throughout the areas in TOB that correspond to the ones you had back in SOA.

    Just a thought...

Thanks. How do I know if I've finished all of the quests associated with a stronghold?

Doesn't the fighter stronghold end when you beat Lord Roenal? I remember killing him quite a bit before the end of SOA and nothing else happened afterwards.

Oh and the planar sphere quests end after your students graduate (or are all dead, depending on the dialogue options you chose).

Yeah, the Warrior Stronghold 'ends' when you face Lord Roenall in battle.

One thing I always do is make Watcher's Keep a sort of stronghold, especially if I'm doing a run where I collect a lot of stuff -- Role playing wise, I justify this in that it is a place that only I can access and is thus more secure than ANY other location! I store things on the first level.

Of course, the Pocket Plane is even more secure, and so when I enter TOB I transfer all my stuff to the plane.
