[IMG] Could someone give me a short confirmation that this is possible? The Class is introduced in ToB, so I don`t know if it would be accessible in bg1 Tutu...

    Cheers!

If you have ToB installed correctly and run BG1 Tutu in that directory, you should be able to play a Wild Mage. :)

It is possible. I have played a Wild Mage for half of BG1 using Tutu before I tried other characters.

I have to say, it was quite amusing to summon a demon by mistake when casting mage armor in Candlekeep...

If you want to make the game VERY difficult, you should certainly play with a level 1 Wild Mage :p

It's not THAT hard actually, you just have to run away every once in a while (vampiric wolves with a level one party?!) a Wild Mage will get better with a few levels but if you're lucky you can have some nice surprises (I fried my entire team with a fireball last time I tried to cast magic missile, evil!). Right now my 2nd level wild mage is leading the attack on the bandits camp. ;)

Ignoring the wild surges, a level one Wild Mage is more powerful than any other level one wizard: no spell restriction, three unique class spells, extra spell slot per level... and the chance of a positive increase in casting level.

When casting a spell, the wild mage's casting level can shift randomly to any position up to five levels above the current level, or five levels below. For instance, when you cast a Magic Missile spell at level 1, your casting level can be randomly modified to "5", which means that instead of tossing one single missile, you will toss three. I think the same applies to the duration of spells (rounds/level) and damage inflicted.

And because you can't go below casting level 1, any negative casting levels don't apply.

You only get the Shields at higher levels, this character presents a true dilemma: whether to use magic or not. ;)
Nahal's Reckless Dweomer is very dangerous for friends and foes alike. You can silence your party, stun them or just kill them... it will happen sooner or later if you use this spell: it's fun!
