I downloaded the file/unzipped from sorcerer's place but the problem is I don't know where to move the files? There are 63 of them...and all of them are .2DA files which means very little to me. But where do I move them to? Copy and paste them to the data folder or what? The files in the main data folder all say .bif so I don't know if I should put them there or what?

No instructions, the only read me that came with the download says that the file came from Sorcerer's Place and that is the extent of it. Help...thanks. :)

    download the easy-of-use mod.
it also contains the xp cap remover, the difference is that it uses an easy to understand installer. so download the mod, unzip it into the main bg2 folder and run the installer.
set your language, then choose "ask about each option" and say no to everything but xp cap remover unless there is anything else you desire from that mod.

[IMG] What is the name of the file you downloaded, and which page did you download it from? There are about 3 or 4 different cap removers on SP. All of them should come with some sort of instructions, either in their description on SP, or in a readme.

It's the 3rd download down "BG2 & ToB Level 50 Patch & XP Cap Remover" I don't know I can't find any instructions, there is a read me but it is there for the purpose of saying that this file came from Sorcerer's Place.

Still need help. If not, I'll try ease of use mod.

[IMG] That one doesn't really need any instructions... When you run the executable it says "Unzip to BG2 "Override" folder!!!" in the unzip location line. So once you run it, all you need to do is browse to the BG2 override folder and hit the unzip button. You'll need to copy the extra 2da in the separate folder there manually.

It won't let me do that...plus, I'm copying the files to a disk so I can transfer them to my old computer as my new computer (the one I use online) cannot run BG... :(

My old computer doesn't have winzip and the internet access and modem are fried...so yea, how do I create an override folder and the 63 files? I guess I'm screwed.

if you have those 63 files in a folder (unzipped) just copy\paste them into the override folder in bg2 main folder.

or just use that easy of use mod as suggested ;)

You don't need WinZip or anything to run that executable, so I don't know what you're talking about. Just copy the files inside the zip on a floppy and transfer it to your other computer. Then run the executable there. The rest of the instructions have already been given.

If it's not there, just create a folder called "override" and put everything in it.

Are you sure it's not there? It is on mine before I even start playing the game or install mods.

The override directory must be in your BG2 install folder.

hmmm...wtf? Oh well...****. On my new computer I installed it (it doesn't run) but there clearly is an override folder...I think I'll just reinstall.
