Dwarf/gnome tailor in the monk's town?

I am really confused to what items the dwarf/gnome needs inthe the monk town. HELP please!!!

 

He can make a special "suit" for you when you have the golden, silver and bronze pantaloons.

The golden pantaloons are from BG-1, the silver ones are the ransom for the girl in the buried-alive-quest in BG-2 SoA and you'd find the bronze pantaloons somewhere in ToB iirc.

The bronze pantalettes are found in Abazigal's Lair IIRC. You get them whilst getting that eyestalk thing that the mage wants in return for the scroll of reversal.

 

Just be sure to let that party of "adventurers" help you. In addition to getting the bronze pants...its damned funny to watch

 

btw, the golden pantaloons are in the friendly arms inn in bg1 carried by a noble who asks you to do his laundry

 

I just wonder. Is there a single person that played BG and got BMU without cheating to get all the pantaloons? Especially that you're stripped of all your equip hence even if you carried golden pantaloons thruout BG1 you'd loose them in BG2.

 

No you wouldn't (lose them). If you had the pantaloons on you, you'll find them again in the locked and trapped painting in the little room where you find your first weapons.

 

I'm curious to see if anyone actually has played all the way thru BG1 to ToB and collected all of the pantaloons without hacking anything in.

I have all of the games and expansions, but I would be hard pressed to ever get enough game time to play that whole storyline!

well, I will be doing that starting t/m. I have BG2, ToB and ToTSC. Im buying BG1 t/m, dont ask why I have totsc before BG1

If you want to know what the quest results in, check out Dan Simpsons item list (you can find it at www.gamefaqs.com). The description of the reunited pantaloon triumvirate is pretty funny - make sure you check it out even if you don't intend to finish the quest.

I am two seconds away from finnishing the final battle and was wondering about this:
So will everything I have in my inventory be behind that painting or just the pantaloons?
Would be kind of cool if I could keep my armor and weapons.....

And will they still be there if someone else in my party has them in his/hers inventory at the final battle.

 

As far as I know only the pantaloons will be there.

 

Then what about those healing potions and the knife(i think)that I found behind that painting, aren't they from my BG1 inventory?

 

Those two healing potions and the dagger +1 are behind that trapped painting in any game, not just ones where you import your character.

 

I think there's a patch in here somewhere that will allow you to keep all your BG1 gear.
