[IMG] alright. I was thinking, and I think a pure fighting party would do really well in BG2. ToB would be very much harder, but you could manage.

protaganist - Human Monk - fists - best sling you have

Human Kensai - Staff->Staff of the Ram+4/6 (VERY POWERFUL!!!)

SKed Elven mc Kensai Assasain (or just do a normal fighter theif) - Short sword of the Mask +4/5 - dagger -> firetoth and a shield when UAI comes in.

Elven Archer - Short Bow of the Gesen/that bow that gives an extra attack... - the wave/dragon's breath/vorpal sword

Half-Orc Barbarian - dual wielding Flail of the Ages+3/4/5 and the purifier+4/5. he can also use 2-handed swords like warblade and vorpal sword if the archer isn't using it.

Human Paladin - HOLY AVENGER +5/6!! - and firetooth

Dwarvish Berserker - dual wield axe of unyielding +3/5 and crom feayr.

I know that's seven but I just couldn't cut anyone of them out!! I think the Barbarian is the one I would cut out, but still.....

or I could cut out the paladin and have my thief use the HOLY AVENGER (with proficianies thank's to the fighter aspect) when UAI comes along. the problem with that though is my Paladin is my best spellcaster.

anyways with this party you'll get to use every amazing item in the game!! the monk and the paladin would eventually get to 100 or so Magic Resistance. maybe the pally wouldn't quite get there, but close.

the fighter thief would backstabb the mages and such then monk and pally would rush in and hack the mage to bits, then the barbarian and the berserker would charge into the battlefield with the archer firing arrows non-stop. last but NOT least the Kensai comes in and finishes everything off.

the fighter thief is also a very capable fighter, as well, he can lay traps!

what do you guys think? good party? no? where would it have difficulties? which guy should be removed?

Cool, but this is what i would have.

Monk-best fighter in my opinion, but don't use slings, use darts, there faster.

Berserker(better rage ability than barbarians, grants immunity to imprisonments, kangaxx comes to mind here)

Archer- just get him the short bow of Gesen

    Swashbucker(pratically a fighter/thief)

    Stalker(backstabs, as your swashbuckler can't)

Inquisitor(take care of those mages with true sight and dispel magic)

Interesting, in just about any stand up fight you would truly kick but. Major problems I see are you lack of healing abilities. I dont know how to solve them but you might multi class a cleric. If you try it let us know how well it actually works.

Actually you won't face too much problems, the lack of mage spells and healing abilities shouldn't be that much of a problem since you would hit hard - and would have regeneration items and lots of potions. Probably the party is even too strong, so you might get bored with your fights beeing too easy and finished too fast.
I had that when playing with a party consisting of an archer, pally, illusionist-thief and Mazzy Fentan. Your all fighter party is overkill :D

[Tsk, tsk; I told ya someone would find them Tal - BTA]

    Death Master,
First of all, the Stalker kinda makes up for the swashbuckler's inability to backstab, but he can't backstab for much damage, meaning he can't take out fighters with it.
Monks - slings do more damagae then darts, and generally the only time I'll use a ranged weapon is before the enemy closes on me.
as I said before, yeah, the barbarian is probably the one I'd discard.

yes, I'd try to get everyone to have regeneration and I'd have some healing from my archer and my paladin.

the Kensai with the staff of the ram is INSANELY powerful, and I would have him in that party for sure, especially with the archer casting barkskin on him.
he does TONS of damage (1d6+10+STR bonus [which I got to 24, but I can easily make it 25 {without the crom feayr}]+ Kensai damage bonus + item bonuses)

yes, this party is powerful. I'm doing a multiplayer game with my bro in Watcher's Keep as my Kensai, while he's a stalker and a fighter/mage

I'm probably not going to try it out though because my single player game now is a fighter mc mage with Sarevok and Viconia.
