    [IMG] I'm creating a 4-player multiplayer party, 1 berserker/cleric a kensai(15)/thief and a Inqusitor and a sorcerer.

    1. On the character creation screen, if I put 5* on flails and 1 in two weapon, (i'm planning on FoA and Crom Fayer) will I be able to put 3* on two weapon wielding and 2* on war hammer while I am a cleric? Or will I have to do this while i'm Berserker (before I dual)

    2. Do you think that with a 4 player party going all the way through ToB that lvl 13 will be a better level to dual than lvl 9 ?

lvl 9 is always a good place do dual because then you barely miss any priest levels, as per your other question I'm not sure.

I've never played with a dualed cleric before so I can't tell you when to dual out of that perspective. But level 9 or 12 would be best to get the most out of the Beserker.

I would advice you to put 3 slots on "two weapon use" and 3 slots on flails. Out of weapon perspective the FoA is far better than Crom Fayer.

No, you misunderstand the question, the problem is: isn't cleric only allowed to put 1* in their weapons? (does this aply for weapon styles also?), so will the only way for me to get 5* in flails is to put them there while i'm berserker?

No. Dual class characters where one class is a fighter kit are allowed 5 *'s in weapons and 3 *'s in two weapon style.

    @dmc

You're right, but he will be limited to one star in each until he re-activates his fighter level. For example, you won't be able to put three stars in two weapon fighting (or even a second for that matter) until you get your fighter levels back. Also, the proficiencies don't "stack" so to speak. If you had one star in two weapon fighting as a fighter, it will disappear when you dual-class to a cleric. If you spend one of your cleric's proficiency points on dual-wielding, you'll still only have one when you reactivate your fighter class, and your old proficiencies "re-appear".

As such, I would recommend using your cleric proficiency points to diversify your weapon skills, as there is no point in adding anything to flails or two-weapon style until you reactivate your fighter class. Although it would be useful to spend one of your cleric proficiencies on warhammer, as you don't have any proficiencies in that now.

But is it possible to not level the cleric up until I know i'll hit lvl 10 (I dualed to cleric at lvl9) and then be able to put more than 1* in my profencies?

Yes, its possible to add to your original proficiency points if you level squat all those 10 levels.

However its going to be a big pain squatting all those levels and you will miss all the priest spells. Definately not a good idea. Try putting points in slings, clubs and hammers before taking this extreme steps.

You're best off waiting until level 13 to dual.

At 13th level, you've gotten just about everything you'll need to out of the Fighter class (extra attack and all).

It's an extra half attack. Fighters, paladins, rangers and barbarians all get an extra 1/2 attack when they hit level 13.

1: Yes you can definitely get both 5 *s in Flails and 3 *s in Two Weapon style, although you obviously cannot do this while your Berserker class is locked.

2: I most certainly think that lvl 13 is a much better level to dual at...in fact, I will go out on a limb and recommend lvl 15...IIRC, it will get you an extra rage. If I am wrong, which I very well might be, go for lvl 13.

Even though I played Bg2 dozens of times this info must have slipped past me every time, arg! I already have dualed at lvl 9 , hmm can probably edit with shadowkeeper and give her the same exp just with single class and rather dual at lvl 13, will be a pretty long time without a cleric though. But I dont mind suffering if it's better in the end.

EDIT: That was much harder than I thought! Had to edit my THAC0 and saving throws back manually, arf it just got messy and I decided to just go with berserker(9)/Cleric.`

EDIT2: Just thought of something hea, could just make a new character and give him the equalient exp that I had, but i'm just ranting with myself now....
