Isn´t Fighter/Cleric great?

[IMG] I just thought of it :p
If you are a human, dualling to a cleric from a fighter - shouldn´t he kick some serious butt AND be able to heal some folks?
He´ll get ***** in warhammer and wield crom faeyr, he´ll have 18 in Wisdom & so on. He´d be good as hell, since he also can use armour! :)

  2. [IMG] Well, I had a Berserker, dualed to Cleric immidately when released by Imoen.
I fought Mencar and his gang at The Den of Seven Vale,(whatever, the inn at waukeens).
And bless me and mind me manners, but how the heck did that happen!!? the only way for me to use spells is through the quick slots, the "moon and stars" button is blackened! And still is. I've just slain Fiirkrag, and I'm really annoyed! I'll start an Inqusitor instead.

I think that is Ranger/cleric better you automaticly get ** in dual wielding, than put ** to warhammer ** to flail..
so you can dual wield flail of ages and crom feayr (ouch) :), and you get cleric and druid spells

[IMG] hm. That doesn´t sound so good
    I´m sorry for ya.

BTW. I´m thinking of an alignment right now - wich should I pick? I´m gonna bring Jan :D , Edwin, Viconia, Minsc and Korgan.
I know, there are mostly evil aligned chars. in my party, but it´s hard playing this game in an evil way. I´m gonna dual a Berserker to Cleric, so I can´t be of any lawful alignment. helpp me out, please?

Chaotic Neutral would "allow" you to do whatever you want, whenever you want, so that's my suggestion. Then it doesn't really matter if you have Minsc in an otherwise evil party...
(If it gets you in trouble, too bad :D )

If you ask me, chaotic neutral works best with that crowd, get along great with Jan, willing to deal with the evils, and share that chaotic perspective with Minsc.

Role playing - You don't have to play crazy, there aren't any real dialogue options for it anyways. Do quests for individuals, not organizations, particularly lawful ones. Avoid Radiant Heart quest, do individual character quests, you might be willing to help on questionable quests if there are good rewards for you promised or if members of the party convince you.

[IMG] acctually, it´s the roleplaying and conversation part that irritates me. There are to few options that allow you to roleplay your char. better...
I can´t(acctually) picture my cleric going around a bit crazy :p So I acctually think that that alignment is a bit...wrong. But I don´t know. Please come with more suggestions and tell me, also, why I should pick that aligment. thx

Chaotic Neutral doesnt mean their nuts, necessarily, it just means they dont care for laws, and they arent inherently good or evil in the way they work. To play a CN cleric, he'd just be a zealot to his Deity, and not really care about the rest of the laws and whats going on in the ways of good and bad. He'd care about the advancement of his deity most likely.

I can testify that the Berserker/ Cleric DC works pretty well. I dualled at lv 10 to get 3 uses of enrage. Great ability! Incidentally, I've had no problems with spellcasting.

  12. The reason you can't cast spells is your armor, you think?

I did a multi fighter/cleric half-orc. By the end of the game, he was walking around with a -10 AC (not counting spells to increase that) and, dualing Crom and the Mace of Disruption, so many enemies just exploded before him. Lots of strength, lots of constitution, not much lovin' from the ladies.

I could have gone solo with him until the last fight. That would have been very tricky.

[IMG] It is not great for lord's sake.
    It is only playable.

There is no such class that can generally be GREAT in BG2 no matter you say.
There are only some classes that suck! Like Monk which is in fact bugged and that's where his power in fact lays.

To me - every class is great to the player that uses it and enjoyes it.

Yeah, there are so many mega-artifacts in this game that it's almost not worth obsessing too much over tactical choices like "is it better to be a sorcerer or a mage?" or "who will be more powerful, Anomen or Viconia?" You should just pick a class you think would be cool and fun, and NPCs you like having along. Trust me, no matter which class and companions you pick, you will find amazing weapons for them to use and they will kick butt most liberally, as Minsc puts it.
