XP cap Hell

I decided to start this game up again about 3 days ago, but did it with a solo character for a challenge. At this point i have yet to start the real storyline quest, and am plowing through watchers keep. Halfway through the keep i hit the 15kensai/38 thief and ended up capping >< With the lack of good katanas in this game i only maxed it out for celestial fury, then i began allocating points to other weapon skills as i decided what to pick. At the cap i hit 3 long sword/3 scimitar. Not knowing that the cap came so soon I was clueless on what do do to fix this.

Ok cool, 2 more levels while i search for a better one. I finished those levels, and at 40 i was happy to find another proficiency point. But i wasnt done yet! I went back and found one that works for both tob/soa

BG2 & ToB Level 50 Patch & XP Cap Remover

Downloaded, installed, unzipped ect ect. got into the game, and it still showed a -1 for next level and my exp did not move.

So i assumed they did not go togeather! i uninstalled, reinstalled, and only downloaded the
BG2 & ToB Level 50 Patch & XP Cap Remover

Back into the game now, my level 40 wont move, so i figured i already bugged that character and loaded up my level 37..hit 38, and yet again it was capped.

So im lost, the BG2 & ToB Level 50 Patch & XP Cap Remover insalled 63 files into my override folder, none of which seem to have any effect.

Any ideas? I want to keep going but eh i have beat the game 4 times, im here for the character progression. not the storyline. This is one of the few games that does progression perfectly. If only there was no cap ;/

Or any hacks/exploits/bugs/whataver to get one more proficincy point would be great as well!

 

Actually, the second one will overwrite the first one; the problem is that you had already hit level 40 before installing the level 50 patch. Though I'm at a loss as to why it capped again, unless you uninstalled the cap remover.

 

I haven't reached a point in my game to test if it works, but I installed Ease of Use mod. There's a component called XP Cap Remover (Baldurdash) which, I think, removes the XP cap completely.

 

I tried Ease of Use..cant get any of it to work ;p Maybe these mods have to be installed before you start a game file?

*edit*Scratch that, tried a new game and couldnt use the weapon stacking feature.. guess im just bugged wee

 

What mods do you have and what order did you install them?

 

BG2 & ToB Level 50 Patch & XP Cap Remover right after a fresh reinstall, then the ease of use. Directions for the first one said to install to the override folder, ease of use said to install directly into the first page of the bg2 directory

 

What's the weapon stacking feature?

It removes the stacking caps for pretty much anything that stacks; arrows, potions, scrolls, gems, darts, and everything else that normally stacks.
