Anomen romance - new development?

My female Neutral Good swashbuckler\mage has succeeded in guiding Anomen to knighthood, slept with him and professed undying love, never to part. Just now a messenger came with a letter from Bylanna saying that the government has investigated the death of Moira, Anomen's sister and Saerk was indeed the man responsible. Unfortunately, Anomen's father was killed by Saerk while trying to avenge Moira. Anomen was distraught and left the group, presumably to seek revenge, even though I pleaded for him to let the law deal with Saerk. Now I can't find Anomen - he's not in his house or the paladin stronghold.

When I last played a female Sorceress (without TOB installed that time), the romance ended with Anomen a knight and happily adventuring with me. No messenger, no resolution to who killed his sister.

Has anyone else reached this stage? Where and how can I get Anomen back? Will his alignment change from LG if he takes the law into his own hands?

I have stopped the game at the door to Saerk's home, unsure whether I will find Anomen berserk in there. Appreciate anyone who could enlighten me. Thanks!

 

I think that last time you must have finished the game too fast, as the resolution was in before ToB I think.
As for what to do next, you'll have to rush in and heroically talk Anomen out of it, as long as you still want him in your party. His alignment probably does change if he kills Saerk, but it doesn't matter, as you can't get him back.

 

Fru, do you mean to say that if I manage to convince Anomen not to kill Saerk, I can get him back into my party? And if I am not in time to prevent him killing Saerk, I've lost him forever?

Hmmm, I'm at work now so I'll try that when I get home this evening.

 

I think you had to convince him before he leaves the party. Its the same when when Aerie tries to leave in ToB. You need to use your wit dude.

 

No, you have to rush to Saerk's house and convince Anomen that he should not kill Saerk. If you don't, he'll kill Saerk and then himself. You are then permanently out of luck. If you do convince him to stop, he'll rejoin the party and live happily ever after.

This was always part of the scripting, so you must have just rushed past it last time. All the new ToB romance stuff occurs only after killing Irenicus.

Yes, I did it. I went into Saerk's mansion (through the top floor, the front door was locked) and managed to talk Anomen out of killing Saerk.
