Concerning famous DL characters: the DL Mod will take place before the Cataclysm, long before any of the most well known characters are even born. The only one from the Chronicles that was even alive back then was the Speaker of the Suns. I doubt Raistlin or Tanis or Lauralanthalasa will be in any pre-cataclysm mod, simply because they didn't exist back then.

Also, I would like to comment on the series itself: the DL books are some of the best literature I have ever read. The incredible imagingation that went into creating such a vivid world with such integritous characters is beyond belief. I myself am a fantasy author, and I am no where near the level of writing that Weis and Hickman achieved with the DL series.

I am waiting on a DL movie, which I heard was under serious discussion. I think Christopher Lambert (Highlander, Mortal Kombat) would be an excellent actor to play Raistlin. Anyone have any info on a possible film?

well, if it really takes place right before the cataclysm, then several characters could be there.

    *spoilers -

Caramon, Tas, and Raistlin (in the body of fistandilius) are all fair game in the days right before the cataclysm. In fact, Raist may have been there quite a bit longer, since you can't be sure where the line between him and fistandilius is drawn. . .

Hmm, maybe it's obvious, but I wonder if making one of the Knights stuck in the Sphere a joinable NPC would be a fun, smaller mod.

It's a total conversion, which means that they'll have their own Areas and everything. I doubt they'll be any Athkatla because that wasn't in the DL books (I'm assuming).

Athkatla certainly wasn't in the Dragonlance books. It wasn't in the Dragonlance world!

The Knights in the Sphere were hilarious! I would kick @$$ if you could have them join your party. Only problem, though: would they go all Sturm noble on you?..

Sturm is not your typical knight of Solmania. . . He's more noble and rigid then Vinas Solaminis and Huma combined. Sometimes he seems more noble then the gods of good themselves. I'd assume the knights in the sphere would act like typical knights, albeit it VERY confused ones. :)
