Need help with spells!

Prine, but the Meteor did reflected back to my character! If it wasn't supposed to happen then was it bugged?

I checked Bernard's list of spells and none of it is Ruby Ray of Reversal . Also someone claimed that merchants at trademeet sells awesome spells which includes Improved Hasted. Unfortunately the merchants sold all crap! (sorry have to say that) and almost all low level spells.

There is one thing that bug me though. I'm now performing the Fighter's stronghold unfortunately i can't seem to find where is the gold i gained?! It said it was placed in the 2nd level of the library but i checked each and every containers there was no gold!

Was it bugged?

 

The same thing is happening to me with the reflected meteors, actually. It shouldn't, though... also when the lich's stoneskin wears off, the meteor inflicts damage on it and then gets reflected anyway. When I have a party member cast spell turning and chuck meteors at her, they don't reflect. Weird.

Bernard sells different things at different times. You have to do the Copper Coronet quests to get access to his good stuff, and I think he has more stuff for you in chapter six. Same deal with Trademeet, you have to do the quests there before any of the merchants will sell anything decent to you.

 

Yes you need to solve both druid and genie trouble in Trademeet, then the merchant in one of the tents will sell decent spells, and a merchant in town who wears like a noble will sell unique, high quality stuff!

Any weapon that dispels magic per hit (SoM, CArsomyr) will dispel a lich, IF the lich does not have Pfrom MW. I am not sure if an Inquisitor's Dispel MAgic can dispel a lich, aren'T they conveniently immune?

 

I've performed all the quests including Trademeet. The slaver's quest is one of the earliest i did after the circus! It's kinda weird...

Btw, do you know any way of hasting Mazzy's and Edwin's quest? I guess this is the only 2 NPCs that their quest i have not done. After doing so i'll be glad to move on to chapter 3.

I heard earlier someone mentioned that certain quests can only be done on chapter 2. What are those quests that cannot be perform on chapter 3 and beyond? If so getting earlier to chapter 3 for getting Imoen will be pointless since some of the quest is not doable?

Seems to be it was bugged. I've performed all the Trademeet's quest and those merchants are still selling craps.. Is there a way to fix this? Otherwise i can't buy some new and nice spells

The Dao Genies monopoly all the goods, have you solved that problem ?
Benard actually doesn't sell Ruby Ray, I was mistaken because he sells several lv7 scrolls ._.
I don't recall a quest that only available in chapter2, anh usually there's no need to worry whether to move on chapter 3 or not

Silverstar : Yes, Inquisitor dispel work, so does Remove magic.
Regarding spell turning, it seems affects amost every missile attack (elemental arrow, dart of stunning, dart of wounding) >_>

 

Are you sure? Dispel/Remove Magic WORKS against a lich? I NEVER knew that! Though never tried though, they are immune to Breach (up to 5th level spell) so why not DM/RM?

 

Remove magic doesn't work against liches for me, I just get "spell ineffective". Inquisitor dispel magic doesn't function the same as the spells, though.

Not getting arrows of fire and stuff reflected at me by spell turning, either...

There's a ruby ray scroll in some of Bernard's STO files, I thought he sold it too.

 

Huh, yeah I learned it here when someone told me to pick remove magic instead of dispel magic for my sorcerer.

But now I did some test and actually dispel magic and remove magic ignore (minor) globe of invulnerability, lich immunity. Not sure what happened to my game anymore >__>

 

As i've mentioned, i've solved all the quest in Trademeet which of course includes Dao Genies. Is there any way to trigger those merchants so that they sell me the nice stuffs?

Also could anyone clarify on all quest only available in chapter 2 as i intend to start an evil party after my first through

Sorry to doubt you but could it be that you haven't talked to the female officer about the problem solved ?
What do the merchants say ? Do they still have nothing to sell because of the Genies ? Heh, it could be easier if someone knows the global variable for this event

 

Assuming you've finished both the shadow druids and genies' quests and spoken to both the guildmistress and the lord of Trademeet then the merchants will appear, BUT they keep very strict opening hours. Try around noon and the guy who sells the excellent stuff should be there.

 

Hey Minh Ho thanks for those list! I use CLUAConsole so that they appeared in Trademeet. Anyway i've decided to progress to Chapter 3. It seems i still have the Harper's Quest undone as Jaheira did not leave my party after Dermin appeared.

Can i continue Chapter 2 quests in Chapter 3? Thanks all.

 

See ? Nobody knows of a quest required done in Chapter 2

And... Dermin in chapter 2 ? You sure took your time there
