This question is pretty straight forward: I want to instal the BGT mod (partially for the oldskool paper dolls, partially because I'm also thinking of playing some Baldur's Gate 1, and have gotten used to kits), and want to know if there is any way to preserve my game, currently in the early phases of ToB.

I'm guessing the answer is "no", but I have to ask.

If you mean keep your character, no I dont believe you can. Specially becuase you will start from level 1 at the start of the game, being BG1 and all.

Also I should note this is on the wrong forum, but I'm sure one of the moderators will change to the right one.

BGT won't give you the BG1 paperdolls, if that's what you mean. For that you'll need One Pixel Productions.

Installing BGT shouldn't affect your ability to finish playing through ToB with your current character, but now is an excellent time to mention that EasyTutu can do what you're after without affecting your BG2 install.
