I noticed that load times have been getting really long, even though I have a full install on my computer. Then one day I wandered into Marlowe's home in Amkethran, as I hadn't done his quest yet. There were hundreds of him, all swarming around me and initiating the same dialog! What happened? I have the TOB patch installed, so is this an unresolved bug? Anybody else have this

I have the patch, and do not have this either. I've never heard of it in fact. What happens if you pause the game before any of the dialogues initiate, then use Ctrl-Y on all but one of them? Or, perhaps try spawning another Marlowe outside his house and talk to him there. Once you do his quest then, it should delete the other Marlowes.

If you saved in Amkethran and the computer was disturbed while saving it can cuase problems like that, or if your computer stutters or it was a multiplayer game you were playing

I had a similar experience in the Docks. I just had the 15000gp needed for Gaelen when selling stuff to the Shadow Thieves and walked outside. Valen has her say and vanishes then about 20 Brus walked up to me. Only one spoke, the conversation ended and then they all went away. Perhaps he has multiple personalities?

Never did anything tho' and never stuffed up again. Never seen it again. Must be one of those bugs that just...happen?

Well, my solution was to walk into Marlowe's home and use my mages to fireball the crap out of the hive of Marlowes. I have to admit that they did not put up much of a fight, and only earned me 4 exp points and 8 gold each. Also cost me a quest. But load times have improved. I hope I haven't screwed myself for something else down the line; I had little choice but to wage this attack on the clones. Thanks for the replies.
