TOB Installation

    Okie Dokie. My computer is now up and running again after the reformat. Now let us never speak of it again. Anywho, I was wondering. Am I supposed to install the SoA Patch before installing ToB, or does the ToB patch fix the same problems as the SoA Patch, but for both games?

    Play for sure and follow this install.
    SoA
    SoA patch
    ToB
    ToB patch

    The SoA patch only takes a minute or so to install.

    Pity the patches take forever to download. I'll get on it though, it's not like I have a life or anything.

    Easier that way.

    But, the patches should fix the problems in the games. I have encountered none.

    And while downloading, you can browse Sorcerer's Place forums.
    Just set it to show all posts and browse, for example, Whatnots.

    As you can see, i have no life too.

    ToB patch contains all bugfixes from SoA patch, so applying the SoA patch is not necessary.

    Hi all,

    Has anyone heard of a "bug" where I have installed ToB and restarted a Shadow of Amn game. During this time any time I start a conversation with a npc it says "they appear to be busy"?

    I can't get anywhere since I have installed ToB?

    Help !.......

    I had the same thing. You have XP right? ;)
    Just install the latest ToB patch.
    Should fix it right up. If you just started a game you might want to start over after patching. It fixed other things that went wrong with my game as well, but it doesn't help saved games. So if you want everything to work right start clean after installing the patch.

    The download for the patch can be found on a link on this site. I don't have it now but search from the home page/Games/BG2/....
