Since these "What's your favorite x" -thingies are so popular, I'll toss one out too. What is your favorite interaction between a joinable NPC and a non-joinable one, one that stuck in your mind the most? Maybe just a curt remark at a beggar, maybe a humorous injection in a conversation the protagonist is having with someone, maybe an NPC completely taking over and accepting a quest without asking you?

My personal favorite at least at the moment is when Mencar Pebblecrusher sees Korgan. It really makes both characters come alive more. And the exchange is hilarious.

 

Well, I really like when Anomen talk with the paladins from Radian Heart. But as a fan, I love Viconia's act when she meet the Underdark males drow.Hi Hi

 

Just about anyone and the thief selling the Planar Sphere in the Slums, though Kelsey goes all merchant on him and demands to see the bill of sale.

Anomen has a cute one with a prostitute in the Bridge district.

Salvanus hitting on the 'ladies' of your party, Edwina included.

And for the record, my favorite, non-joinable NPC is Misty, the coat-check girl.

 

I like the relationship between Anomen and Keldorn, Keldorn is even high and mightier than Anomen and Anomen simply can't take it. A clash of male egos if ever I saw one. Of course, Keldorn shows Anomen up to be the petulent brat he is - after becoming his knighthood, Anomen strains some humilty as best he can.

I also like the mutually suspicious relationship that Edwin has with Sarevok.

Oh and also any time Edwin says "Edwin do this! Edwin do that! (Get this jerk a banana)".

 

I always thought the Edwin and Gracie (of the Sea's Bounty) amusing. Especially if you also have Jaheira and/or Korgan with you. I don't remember if anyone else also comments.

Also, by the way, has anyone every seen the NPC's in your party sliding across the ground in their 'fighting stance' ? Happens to Edwin all the time! Very funny!

 

Yeah, Edwin's animations get all screwy after his transformations. And if nowhere else, by the time you arrive in Hell. His cloathing colors change slightly and he loses his spell casting animation.

I also like the part where the guy in the docks of the Bridge District is commanding the ogre workers, I can't remember his name right now. Various NPCs have comments if you help him, and I think it was Korgan who decides to just whack the guy instead. The guy's voice and accent are just so obnoxious.

 

The one between a random fat woman at the entrance to the government district and Anomen and Yoshimo/Jan. They refer to him as being a baby still. Fortunately, the toilet training has come off nicely.

 

The guy with the Ogres at the Bridge district was pretty funny yeah.... I didnt like him commanding around those poor Ogres so i decided to join the fray and let him taste some Quarterstaff

Oh and I love the scene in the CC where that Cheating Noble guy hides from his wife with his new lover, and you can tell his wife that he's just upstairs in the back room, after that a quite deadly catfight ensues..... strangely none of my party ever commented this

Yeah, that's priceless.

 

I've just thought of some more that I like:
= Anything Cespenar says, especially the one about Hindo's Doom. "Can you say it? HINDO'S DOOM!"
= Brunar's wife in the Copper Coronet. "You! Have you seen my husband?" I always tell her where he is, it's fun to watch the fighting. She always wins though.
