[IMG] Seeing as most of you have played or are still playing tutu versus BGT, I've decided to give it a try. But I (as usual) have some questions. It's so nice hearing how other people have completely messed up their games and PCs so I can flat out avoid it. :)

First: Does this work? If it does, then what installs first? Big Picture or EasyTutu?

Second: What mods can I use in BG that are compatable with Big Picture?

Third and most important: I'm running Vista Basic on my new laptop. Has anyone had a chance yet to know if these mods even work on Vista OS????

Before I trash a brand new computer, I REALLY want to know!

    Thanks all!

The Weidu mod Big Picture will work just fine with Tutu. A lot of the "Big Picture Family" mods may not work with it, though. Check the readme files.

That's what I understood from reading many of the read me files. Honestly, I may only go with TDD mega-mod because I can't seem to find none corrupted files for a few of the other supported mods.

But, still. Vista? Is this OP basically going to treat the games and mods as if it were XP?

First of all, it would be pointless to add BG2 content only mods to a BP Tutu install. You'd never see that content. Secret of Bone Hill would work, though, and I'm sure you'll find another big mod or 2 that works with Tutu as well. Personally, I don't play with any big mods, but I do use BP because it enhances a lot of scripts and AI in a manner I find appealing. That's how I know BP will work with Tutu.

Regarding Vista, I imagine it'll work just fine. It doesn't do anything all that radically different than XP.

Thanks, Drew. I came to that same conclusion, as well. Vista is a good enough OP, solid and nearly stupid-proof.

So, I've got EasyTutu, Gray Clan, Herbs and Potions, NPC Banter Pack, BG Tutu Tweak Pack, and DSotSC.

DSotSC, I'm not sure if I should use. It doesn't say anywhere that it is compatiable with Tutu, but I haven't seen anywhere that it is not, either.

I guess I'm ready to do it, then. Wish me luck!

I'm pretty sure DSOTC won't work. There's a BGT compatible version out there, but I'm not aware of a Tutu compatible version.

    [IMG] Hi. new member here.
I have a similar, simpler setup. Easy Tutu/fix-pack/Wiedu's Druidic Sorcerer kit. I'm wondering if, with a setup this simple, can I just throw 'big picture' on top? or do I have to start from scratch. Not planning on adding anymore to complicate things. Just need the means to go from BG1 to BG2. 2 Goals: Beat Sarevok and finish ToB.

(with new NVidia card, BG1 looks GREAT!) :)

You could, but all you'll be doing is upgrading AI scripts and what not. If that's what you are looking for, you may want to visit The Gibberlings 3 and download Sword Coast Stratagems. I used that for a recent play through and really liked (most of) it. I also notice that you don't really have any tweak mods installed. You really should take a look at BG2 tweaks (which is also hosted at G3).

For feedback purposes, I don't suppose you could tell me which bits you didn't like? (Obviously to some extent these things are a matter of personal taste, but if there are things that are objectively fixable, I'd like to know.)

Thanks for the response. I briefly checked out the G3 site. I may add some small mods, ie XP cap remover. But, I'm mainly looking for the connectivity/longevity effect. (Until DA maybe?!:)

As an aside, I've heard (and done in other games) that we can take a previous save and put that in the save folder after install. But, something tells me that that is not the case here. There may be something missing. I have one game going already at Ulgoth's Beard. (Original setup - January, '06).

Sure, but I'll post it at G3 so you won't have to hunt it down.
