I'm playing SoA + ToB with few little mods, and noticed a few bugs.

1) Rescuing Viconia at government district all you can say to her is something: INVALID LINE blah blah blah. I wasn't going to take her along anyways.

2) Adventurer's Mart at Waukeen Promenade. There is this lady selling scrolls. She's got about 200000 scrolls of Wraith Form. I'm playing swashbuckler, so needless to say I stole those scrolls. Sold them to shopkeeper at Dock district and got about 3 million gold. It was nice when you could buy everything. I bought all Balduran stuff from adventurer's mart. (Not sure if that shopkeeper lady is available only on mods. I Can't remember if I saw her when playing the game first time). I got a little tired of that money, so I gave all but 500000 gold to church of Helm. Now my reputation is 18 and I'm in chapter 2. Guess I'll have to lower my Rep. somehow and give all my money away. I know it's cheese but I couldn't resist.

3) In the sewers there are 2 guys just standing there. They don't say anything, just stand there, and they are only worth about 150 xp and they don't have any good stuff either. I'm pretty sure they are there because of these mods. Haven't seen them before. Also after rescuing Boo, Cowled wizards come to thank your party and one of them doesn't disappear like the others. He's just standing there not saying a word.

 

Okay, what mods do you have installed?

The Viconia bug is not in the original game, neither are scrolls of wraithform (or the wraithform spell, for that matter). Those guys in the sewer aren't in the unmodded game either.

 

These are related to Unifnished Business. Go get v1.1, it fixes some of these problems outright. The two guys in the sewers are related to the Spider's Bane quest.

 

I've got that Unfinished Business v1.0, Flirt pack, Weimer item upgrade, Rogue balancing pack, Official patch and Baldurdash.

I just lost all my money.. =/ My Wild Mage tried to throw a Disintegrate, but something wild happened and 500k of gold was destroyed.

EDIT: Oh my god.. This is serious. I just went after Valygar and when I reached his cottage at Umar Hills, I can't find the door. It's not highlighted when hitting TAB, neither it can be found by searching with mouse cursor. If someone would be so kind to post the coordinates for the door so I could check if it is there or not. I don't want to play it all over again from the start. I'm going for tha mage stronghold, so this is really important.

 

Umm, I don't remember there being a door to open. I think you just hover your cursor over part of the porch and it turns into the "walk into" icon.

 

I have the same problem with Valygar's cabin, and it only appeared after installing Unfinished Business. When you put your cursor over where the entrance should be, there is no change in the cursor, and entry is impossible.

 

I haven't played the actual UB release, but they may have disabled the cabin door until you talk to Valygar's butler and Suna Seni down in the Copper Coronet. The UB Forum would probably be a better place to ask, though.

 

F**k! I've tried talking to Suna Seni, who isn't very helpful, and I found that Tax Collector, who is supposed to know Valygar's whereabouts. It didn't help. I tried uninstalling UB, but the door wasn't there. I don't wanna start all over again. There seems to be these console commands with which you can make things happen. (Referring to post about Harpers and summoning Jaheira) That might help, but how do these work?

 

You can just use Shadowkeeper and put Valygar's body in your inventory.

 

Thanks! Guess I'll just have to do that. I fantasized about getting Valygar in my team, but his body is better than nothing.

 

There IS a way to get NPC Valygar to appear out of thin air, so you can ask him to join you. It involves typing CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("NPC Valygar Value here") in the CLUAconsole window. The value is the bunch of numbers you can also see in Shadowkeeper.

To activate the CLUAconsoling, go to the game folder and open the baldur.ini file using a text editor, and add the line "Debug Mode=1" under "Program Options. Then, load your game and press Ctrl + Space to show the console window.
Make a copy of the Baldur.ini file beforehand as backup.

 

Ah! Thanks a lot! There is nothing too important in Valygar's cabin, so I can go on with my game without too much re-thinking of my party.
