Question: Jester + Enhanced Bard Song

    if a jester got the enhanced bard song, what would his song do?

    btw, is there any good jester guide available online? a link would be greatly appreciated too.

    the enhanced bard song replaces the existing one, so his song would have the enhanced bard song effects, meaning he'd lose his confusion song ability.

    Rogues Rebalancing mod rebalances thief and bard kits, adding new kits also. The mod completely redoes bardic HLAs, adding more bard-like abilities, and Jester kit is enhanced and changed too, I highly reccomend it! :thumb:

    By the time you get to ToB, most of the enemies save against the song.

    True, but vanilla game eliminates Jester's speciality completely by giving it the Improved Bard Song. Now, I am not sure, but Rogues Rebalancing may actually give penalties to saving throw of Jester's song, gotta check though.

    You really don't have to replace the Jester's song if you have the latest offical patches installed. One component there makes the Jester's Bard Song better as he gains levels. (more spell effects, no save vs bonus)
    Remember that the effects of Bard Songs are not considered magical so they ignore magical and certain spell resistances/immunities. Multiple images can make the song lethal even against such enemies as the four and even if you have a lot of difficulty enhancing mods in your game.


    Only Blades and plain Bards should take the Enhanced Bard Song.

    Jesters' song just get improved when I start playing ToB with it? at what level?

    Will Skalds' song improve anymore after level 20?

    TOB takes the wind out of both Skalds and Jesters.

    If you have the bonus pack, one of the merchant items punches Jesters in the stomach right in SOA.

    At level 20, the Jester bardsong ability also gains Stun and Slow in addition to Confusion.

    I don't believe that the Skald's song improves any more after level 20.
