I know they give you +4 to hit & damage, but do they make your fists considered +4 weapons in enchantment, or is this a damage/thac0 only bonus?

    Tasheron's & Gesen Short Bows
I know they require no ammo, and do magic/electrical damage respectively, but what is the actual damage they do? 1d6 plus the bows' enchantment? For Tasheron's, all the description says is "This magical bow creates phantom arrows and requires no ammunition!" But it doesn't tell you the damage.

    Carsomyr: The Holy Avenger
I know it says "50% Magic Resistance," but is that added, or does it "set" and cap your magic resistance at 50%?

    The Impaler: Spear +3
I know the description says "1d6 +3, plus 10 piercing damage," but is that extra 10 damage guaranteed per hit (piercing damage resistance aside, of course)? This Spear sounded so cool when I picked it up, but I never seemed to do all that much damage with it. You'd think it would do a minimum of 14 damage per hit, making it a pretty sweet ass weapon, but no one seems to talk about or use it. What the dilly?

    The Golden Pantaloons
Do they make me look fat? Be honest!!

    1. No.

    2. 1d6 I believe.

    3. No.

    4. Don't know why people don't use it, apart from only jaheira & valgyar having spear proficiency. Dual-wielding perhaps?

    5. Yes.

    1. No, but Monk fists become +4 at level 25.

    2. I dunno, but when I equip arrows of piercing, my THAC0 goes down, so that's what I use. Maybe you can edit your character to have the Kai ability so you can calculate the damage yourself.

    3. This one is tricky. Right when you equip it, you MR will be SET to 50% regardless of your other equipment. But if you take off and then put on other bonus MR items, your MR will increase respectively. Also, if you load a game and your character has Carsomyr, he will start with 50% MR until you take off and put on your other bonus items. It's annoying because you might actually have 70% MR, but if you forgot that re-equip trick you will go through the game with effectively 50%.

    5. Depends on your constitution! The shinyness does draw attention to your thighs, though :p .

Drumheller, are you sure monk fists are +4 at level 25? I thought they capped out at +3.

    1. Dammit. That's what I thought.
    2. Does anyone know this for sure? And do they do piercing damage as well or just the magic/electrical?
    3. Okay cool.
    4. Well I still like it. I had Valygar use it, because my PC dualed Katanas.
    5. You're just jealous! :p
