[IMG] Can someone please tell me where to find (or send me) the content of the override directory (usually c:bad:program files\baldur's gate 2\override\)?
I have the Italian version and I would BG2 to "speak" in English.
    My email is pettinarig@tin.it
    Thank you, Guido

I don't think this will work properly. IMO you'll need the dialog.tlk and dialogF.tlk files from the main-directory to let BG2 "speak" English. Found this while experimenting with the English patch. Try downloading the patch and install it, it COULD work...worth a try.

sorry only have the German version which sux somehow...

[IMG] cocco, don't attempt to change those files. You'll screw your game up. Just replacing them will not work, especially if you have some savegames with your information all in italian.
And there's nothing in override regarding the text anyway, as Elenias points out.
dialog.tlk and dialogF.tlk are the right files for most of the text in the game, though.

You migh get it to load with those files changed for the english ones, but I doubt you'll get any further than that.

    [IMG] oh I forgot:

    MAKE A BACKUP!

of the files you are to alter...this actually saves you from reinstalling the game.
btw. Tal after I installed the English patch 'some' game-menues (due to the installation itself) and all the dialog (due to new files) were in English while the in-game messenges like "bla bla attackiert Gedankenschinder" and most character descriptions were still in German.
All coccoinomane could achieve is a good mix between languages...funny but somehow irritating.

    Hi!
I already have english dialogues (I overwrote dialog.tlk and keep dialogF.tlk, to have both the languages), what I want are the sound files.
    thank you anyway, Guido

I wonder where one could find various dialog.tlk files around the web. I was astouned that I couldn't find any - is there a problem with some copyright?

I think playing BG2 through just another time IN FRENCH would help me with learning this *great* language. Does Anybody feel the strong need to send me his french dialog.tlk?
