That makes sense, because that's what it was in BG1. If you just get her from the prison cell, her Dexterity is 17. In BG1 it's supposed to be 14 and in BG2 it's supposed to be 17. I'm failing to see the problem here.

I rarely use her as a front line fighter anyhow, at least not until later in the game. Her ability to protect and heal herself via spells more than makes up for it, IMHO. One thing I would say, however, is that her picture in BG2 is not nearly as pretty as her BG one -- I'm running a multiplayer game and using a female Avenger -- she uses the Jaheira pic from the original game -- ROWR!

On a slightly different note, Minsc's alignment always struck me as being more Chaotic Good than Neutral Good, though perhaps his desire to protect Dynaheir played a part in the designers wanting to make him NG. I should mention, though, that just because someone talks about good and evil and such, that does not make them of a good alignment, necessarily -- Anomen is LN (to start out, anyhow), and he is always announcing his goodness and denouncing evil. In any event, rangers must be of one of the three good alignments. What irks me is Minsc's change of racial enemy from BG to SOA. Gnoll to vampire? Gimme a break . . .

i know this is off-topic, but
    @ Lord Keldin Deparra
its not that outlandish. his mission in BG1 was to protect Dynaheir, and since she was taken by gnolls, that was his racial enemy. Now in BG2, Irenicus is allied with Bodhi and her vampires, and Irenicus is responsible for Dynaheir's death.

Plus, even if you import a ranger character from BG1, you are allowed to choose a different racial enemy. It only makes sense as there are several racial choices you aren't allowed to make in BG1 that you probably would if given the opportunity. In fact, the race lists from BG1 to BG2 are almost mutually exclusive. I mean, how many creatures are options in both games? A handful of gibberlings, orc, ogres, ogrillons, and spiders - and that's about it. It would hardly be fair if you couldn't switch. You aren't allowed to pick things like vampires, trolls, demons or dragons, in BG1, despite these being much stronger selections that gnolls for example.

@dradeel: I agree with Earl Grey. Its the same as SKing the character, just a harder way of doing it.

Jahiera's Dex depends on how many experience points you have... If you start with a new character she has dex 17... If you restart the game and import an experienced character her level goes up but her dex goes down. I think it is probably an oversight by the developers.

Just checked with InfExp. Level 7,8,11 she has Dex17. Level 12 she has Dex14. I think it's just a bug in the .cre (as Scythe has said) and they forgot to fix her dex for L12.

I see the InfExp and Jaheira have Dex14 when she is Fighter 1/ Druid 1, the name of the cre archive is JAHEIRD, but in the others archives .cre from Jaheira, she have Dex17.
It´s a bug in all the signs.
