So it's true what they say that a druid can only advance to level 14?

What happens after that, he just gets experience points? Are there no bonuses at all after that? Just wondering becuase I've just made myself a druidic character and I can't help but wonder this strange news. So am I forced to dual-class her to get her to ever be worth anything?

[IMG] In SoA the Druid can only get to lvl 14 but in ToB IIRC they get to lvl 38

This is because at lvl 15 Druids start getting High Level Abilites making them overpowered without ToB.

at lvl 15 Druids become immune to Poison.
at lvl 18 they get 10% resistance in fire, cold, electricity and acid.
Lvl 21 increases this to 20% and lvl 24 increases the resistance again to 30%

The ToB experience cap is 8 million. That allows druids to get a maximum of level 31.

Druids become incredibly powerful once they pass level 15. All other classes in SoA have similar caps.

Ah ok. So no need to make him switch classes.

I trust you know what you're talking about druids becoming very powerful then. I made a shapeshifter (I heard the werewolf is supposed to be something) with high combat stats as well as good wisdom. And got my ass kicked like no tomorrow in the tent of the illusionist in Waukeen's Promenade. Normally, I'd delete such a weakling outright, but let's wait and see.

    Thanks for the info!

From what I've heard, the Shapeshifter needs to have a mod popped in before he reaches his true potential -- the kit has some bugs in it, IIRC. I don't fool around with shapeshifting -- Totemic Druid all the way for this cowboy.

[IMG] The Ease of Use mod fixes shapeshifters, but for some reason I don't know how to put the URL in a cool looking hyper link.. so here it is.

    Hope it helps!

but of course, I'm an idiot :p

It would, I'm sure. The problem however is that whatever page was hosting the weidu mods (or at least that particular one) is gone. And I can't find that file anywhere, only the same not-working link.

That's not exactly true. For the purposes of SoA, however, it's plausible. In order for a druid to attain level 15, they must challenge for the role of Great Druid. IIRC, there could only be one Great Druid at any time. From there, I believe they progress to Arch Druid and then Hierophant Druid. Druids become significantly more powerful in their own right, but not solely because of HLAs available to them in ToB.

Also, IIRC, if they were unsuccessful in achieving Great Druid status, they remained at level 14 until such a time that they could attempt the challenges again.

well, i myself like the wherewolf, but i don't like what the ease of use mod does...

it made the shapeshift spell create an item, u can cast while shapeshifted, and resistances stack. unlike all other shapeshifting spells.

so... i made my own, and i removed normal weapon immunity from the normal warewolf form as its just too overpowered... other than thats its just like any other shapeshifting spell, works ok.
