Changing NPCs Portraits

Anybody out there know how to change the NPCs portraits?? I am doing my 3rd outing and am sick and tired of seeing the same picture over and over again!!

 

If you are sick of the same portraits, why dont you try a multi-player game and make all the characters yourself. Then use any portraits you like.

 

yea, but then you get 6 dead characters, that never talk, never do anything. oh gee.. what fun?

 

Get shadowkeeper. With it you can change anyone's portrait.

 

In BG1 this method worked:
Rename the xxxxxxxL.bmp and xxxxxxxS.bmp of your choice to the NPC 's name.
For example ImoenL.bmp and imoenS.bmp

Drop both these files into the BG2-Soa\Portraits directory.
Start the game, and the new portrait should be there.

 

Thks for the tips. Changed it wt ShadowKeeper. Pretty tempting to beef up my character but since I am an honest person....oh what the heck, maybe on my next game.

 

Hey GOD,
Did you ever try to download portraits, they usually come in the format you need and all you do is extract them into the portrait directory. Then once in the game u just check out the change appearance option, and hit custom, and pick your new portrait.

 

Yep!! I'm playing wt an all girls party now. Downloaded all the sexy portraits. That alone is worth replaying the game.

 

I hear ya man, some of those portraits can be quite sexy

 

It's also rather funny when you give the one's with manly voices hot female portraits.

 

Ya like manly women do ya? (j/k)

 

That will be a real turn-off for me. I can't imagine having a manly voice girlfriend and talking to her over the phone.
