At what level should I dual-class in SoA and still get to the cap level in ToB?

[IMG] I need to know at what experience points the classes reach the top level in ToB, so i can subtract it from the 8 million cap and figure out how far i can dual class a character...

Here is where you can find some very useful dual classing information. I think that should answer most, if not all, of your questions.

[IMG] It actually didn´t helped that much... The best i could find was a table telling me what was the highest reachable level when dual classing at certain low levels, but what i need to know is what level should i dual class to still get to the highest level(40 as fighter for example). All the information there didn´t show a level low enought to still get to the cap lvl.

I mean, i want to dual-class a fighter to cleric, so i need to know what´s the highest fighter level i can dual and still get to lvl 40 as a cleric...
    same for the other cases...

What i really needed was a lvl progression table, but i could only find one up to lvl 25, when i need one up to lvl 40... If anyone could tell me where to find one, i´d be really thankful...

I looked at the table and in order to achieve 40th level as a cleric your fighter would dual-class between 9th and 12th level. Ok, you only get 39th level as a cleric which means you would have to dual-class your fighter somewhere around level 7 to get to 40th level.

IIRC, you start out right around 7th level when you start SoA, so you would have to dual-class right away. If you look at Anomen, he did the same thing; dualed somewhere around 7th level and he easily achieves 40th level as a cleric.

Beyond level 25, straight fighters gain levels at 250K XP intervals (26th lvl = 4.5M XP; 27th lvl = 4.75M XP, etc). Paladins & rangers gain levels at 300K intervals (26th lvl = 5.4M XP; 27th lvl = 5.7M, etc).

Well, that helped some... i just made a experience table for fighters, rangers and paladins... but i still can´t for mage, cleric and thief, cause they have no pattern... you see, i actually want to dual from fighter to all of those, so i need the experience value required for those to reach the max level... like for fighter is 8 mil, for ranger and pallys are 7.8 mil... cleric=? mage=? thief=? druid=?

In the cleric case, yes i know i could just dual like anomen, from figther lvl 7, but if i could dual at lvl 8 would be way better: D10 life roll + constitution above 16 bonus and THACO as a fighter...

I´m trying to make many combinations, so if I get the exp values i can do the math and avoid asking everytime i want to create a new character...

So if you know another pattern for the other classes --- (i already tried that file, and well, there is no pattern for mages, thieves, clerics, and specially druids at lvl 26, but maybe there is at higher levels) --- or you know at what exp value they reach cap level, please let me know...

    Take a look at these: tables . Get your calculator . . . :D

If I may ask, why the emphasis on reaching the level cap? If you give up a level or two in the second class, you can often get several more in the first class. Fighters, clerics, and thieves reach level 40 at exactly 8 million exp. Even if you dual at level 1 you will only make level 39. So if you're a fighter/priest, why not dual at level 12? Fighter/mages should dual at level 7 for exp cap (unless you can get EXACTLY 125K exp at level 8). Fighter/thieves can get up level 13 fighter, or if you don't mind level 38 thief you can dual at level 15 fighter.

If you dual from a kit (no reason not to) then you should see how the bonuses accrue depending on level to pick when you dual. For example, I'm working on a Kensai/Thief and I plan to dual at level 15. Kensais get +1 to THAC0 and damage every 3 levels, and I can still reach level 38 thief. I'm 50 thieving points and 2 high-level abilities short of a level 40 thief, but it's worth the Kensai's combat bonuses and grand mastery.
