Time Stop combo

    What would be the good spell to cast while It's Time stopped?

    I cast Time Stop, then Greater Malison, Dragons Breath and Abi - Dalzim. Power Word: Stun is also a favvo.

    LOL Splunge!

    I usually only cast Time-Stop when I am really desperate to end the fight. That's because I can get Improved Alacrity off without any problem even when I'm getting attacked by a million critters...Protection from Magical Weapons anyone?

    When I do cast Time Stop, it is so that I can cast all my summoning spells like Animate Dead (gotta love the Skeleton Knights!), Summon XXX Elemental, Summon Planetar, Mordenkainen's Sword etc. Then it takes a while to buff them up with Improved Haste, Spirit Armor etc.

    Otherwise...I just cast Prot. from Magical Weapons-->Improved Alacrity--> All my l337 damage spells! :evil:

    How about:

    1) Timestop
    2) Spell Trigger: Protection from magical weapons, Globe of Invul, True Sight/Mislead
    3) Dragons Breath/Abi-Dalzim/Chain Lightning

    1) Timestop
    2) Improved Alacrity
    2.5) Wack with SotM if needed
    3) use Spell Trigger with Pierce magic, Lower Resistance (x2)
    4) use Spell Sequencer with Flame Arrow (x3)
    5) use Minor Spell Sequencer with Acid Arrow or Magic Missile (x3)
    6) Horrid Wilting until the Time Stop runs out or you're sure they're dead.

    Note that if you use 2.5 above you can probably use another Lower Resistance in 3) instead of the Pierce Magic. The PM is just there to avoid the troubles that come with casting targeted spells on a foe with Spell Turning active.

    Improved Alcricity OFCOURSE! These two spells are created for themselves! After Improved Alacricity, you can happily (and quickly with Robe of Vecna AND Amulet of Power) release your arsenal of Abi Dalzim's, Chain Lightnings, Triggers, summons, buffs etc until bad guys are all punished.

    Energy blades!!!
    All of them will hit- I cna usually get off 100+ dammage per stop.

    You can get an area damage of 80d8 (four Abi Dalzims) plus some more (hence Dragon Breath, Comet, Chain Lightning) BUT if the enemies are magic resistant (nearly every worthy opponent in ToB), then you are right, Energy Blades will be SO MUCH better than doing nothing. (lower resistance still...but)

    improved alacrity and area effect spells. if i'm using a F/M i go straight slashing

    Improved Alacrity + Timestop + Robe of Vecna has ended every fight I have played in apart from the Five. Spells with casting time 3 or less (Magic missile, Melfs acid arrow, Dragon Breath etc.) can be cast instantaneously (As fast as you can press the pause button.) I have almost emptied my sorcerors entire spell selection in one time stop...

    if you cant pause fast enough game can do it for you. just check after spellcast? under autopause options
