Items from SoA - I want spoilers!

Here's something that interests me very much.

I don't have ToB (yet), and since billions of you finished it I'd like to know if any of these items has special purpose in ToB like pantaloons.
Actually I don't read anything on this forum... yet... but... *evil grin*

I've heard there are certain persons that combine items to a new one, so is it possible that there are certain persons with ability to use these items at your benefit?

Items (and from where you could get them):
Book of Kaza (from Korgan's quest)
Demon Heart (if there is any left in your inventory after Plannar Sphere)
Dennis' Mother's Gong (if you decided not to finish limited wish quest)
Ioun Stones (I ask this only because mages in SoA can't use them ??!!)
Keepsake Locket (if you romanced Jaheira)
Lock of Jaheira's Hair (if you removed Jaheira's curse)
Mantle of Waukeen (if you kept it instead of resolving Trademeet problems)
Mekrath's Mirror (if you killed Mekrath instead of returning him the mirror)
Montaron's Body (if you found it after Harpers' plot)
Rune of Imprisonment (if you decided not to finish this mage stronghold quest)


These are only items I can think of right now... Don't hesitate to type if I missed to put an item that can be reused in ToB!

I don't care for weapons, wands, boots, rings, amulets, shields and such from SoA!!! I don't want an answer about them, ok?

 

None of the above, afaik. Most new items are improvements on what's listed on your 'don't wanna know' list and are handled in your stronghold. The only other composite item (and I'll be vague enough to keep from spoiling you...when ya gonna get the damn game already??) requires the pantaloons and a few few things you pick up on the way in ToB. It is not made in your stronghold, but by a smithy who's almost too embarrassed to talk to you unless you have all the requisite materials.

 

As far as I know, none of those can be upgraded/improved in ToB with the exception of one of the new Ioun Stones. The Bronze Ioun Stone can be upgraded, but it requires another item.

In response to the fact that mages can't use Ioun Stones, this problem has been remedied in ToB (at least for the ToB Ioun Stones), so if you play a mage, you'll be happier.

Forget about the silver pantaloons, unless you have the ones from the original BG, in which case hold ont to it as I hear it makes a really cool esater egg.

 

Extremist, I have finished ToB with the Book of Kaza, a Demon Heart, the Keepsake Locket, and Mekrath's Mirror, never finding a use for any of those things.

The ioun stones can be equipped by mages in ToB as Avalance says.

I have no idea about Montaron's body, Jaheira's hair, Dennis' gong, Waukeen's mantle, or the rune of imprisonment. I would add to that list Valygar's body and the Inspector's body. I suspect none of them have any ToB use, but I am curious to know if they did...
