Saddest Thing in Entire BG Series

You know what I still remember from the moment I got Baldur's Gate. I burned it from one of my friends. And then I started off with a Ranger back then. I love Rangers still! I remember when I arrived at the Friendly Arm Inn and tried to go in. I was confronted by a man. Hi friend! a buncha talk and then he fought me. He cast Magic Missile, two magic missiles came out and I died. I was like f*ck. I kept trying to kill him for 1 entire hour!!! But I never did. I just talked to him and ran into the Friendly Arm Inn. I then talked to Jaheira and Khalid. Asked them to join and then I finally killed that stupid mage. I also didn't know even how to memorize spells when i played Baldur's Gate. I didn't have the manual to teach me. My Baldur's Gate history was sad. All I did was get fighters. I didn't know how to use thieves so I just let my fighters take the damage from traps. It was a VERY VERY sad moment for me. Lol.

 

I think I've got you beat.

The saddest thing is that the series ends.

 

Is it truly over. But the memories! Me cries!

 

C'mon guys!

Now think how many times you can still play BG-BG2-ToB before you are sick to death with it.

If that is something that is about to happen very soon, think back - how many times did you beat BG-BG2-ToB - you won't be sad anymore.

 

The most recent saddest moment for me was yesterday when I dragged my party in to kill off the Twisted Rune before killing off Bodhi for the second time, and the Beholder turned Minsc to stone and then Meteor Stormed us. I lost my favorite Ranger.

 

Some other stuff that I wish BG II could've had was:
1. Racial Enemy for Rangers: Human, Drow, etc...
2. More boot types, only ones i remember are Phasing, Speed, Grounding, North, West, and Stealth
3. More elemental type units. Water Elemental, Lightning Elemental, Ice Elemental
4. More variety in enemies, such as HUGE infestations/dungeons of spiders, ogres, gnolls, orcs, dwarves (I only remember the ones in the Underground), more mountainous regions with dwarves or elves etc stuff.
5. A new race, Drakes, which are miniature Dragons which are a BIT weaker
6. More terrain types hill/mountainous which give bonus ones on higher elevation, didn't see much snow either, etc...
7. I also wish there were more assaults on castles/forts... only one I remember was the "SHORT" side quest, De'Arnise place. Took me 5 minutes to go in and out.

i was fighting yaga shura on tob.
i won, but 4 of my members were killed, leaving me with me and minsc.
because there wasn't a temple around i had to put all my parties stuff in the pocket plane, but because i was in a hurry i put it on the floor in it. i then went to the city melisan mentioned. i went to the oasis and got attacked, and i retreated back to the pocket plane, and slept. when my chars woke up i went back to my stuff to look through it and make my assasin use the holy avenger, special skill the theif gets it's very useful. but when i go through it all of it has disapeered. so i am now playing through the game again, and am at abazigals place. and i must say i think i've done it even better this time, having done watchers keep before yaga. did n e 1 find that the demogorgon was easy as well, i'm at the medium setting if you ask.

 

It doesn't -have- to be over. Theres still the mod community. We can add our own characters and plotlines. Hell we can even rewrite the entire story and or take the current one and add -more- to it.

 

Um...tell me, why the hell is this topic over here instead of in the BG forum. This has nothing to do with ToB. No, that is not the saddest thing I heard...I've heard worse. That mage cast fear on me and for 10 minutes all I saw was the mage slowly killing Imoen then me and then someone else...can't remember.

 

Because the topic is "Saddest things in the ENTIRE series". ToB forum is the most appropriate because it is the end of the series. Now that the BG story is complete, people will want to talk about it as a whole, due to spoilers this forum is best suited for this. Only other options would be to post it in Whatnots or to start a new forum called "The entire BG series" and that's not practical. So relax. Kiddo.

 

Hmf...I do not think I am a "kiddo". Oh what the hell, I'm *only* 11 and I bet I couldn't stop you from calling me the kid names you ppl like to use on me...
