Harper's Pin

I unfortunately did the Harper's quest very late, and convserved on resting a lot. I wound up ready to begin chapter 7 at only 61 days but with Jahera's stuff just getting started. I travelled between the elf forest and trademeet a few times to advance the clock a couple weeks and met the Derin guy or whoever and his party that try to kill Jahera.

What do I have to do now to get the Harper's Pin? I read somewhere that you just wait an hour of real time, but I've let it sit there for almost four hours with my party just standing outside on the keep map and still no Harper Pin. I wouldn't care if I was only playing SoA but I've had ToB installed from the beginning and I'm taking the party into that.

What do I do to get the Harper's pin? Is it tied to the romance? I was never given an opportunity to start a romance with anyone but Aerie.

 

If you are romancing Jaheira, the timer is 3 hours realime .
So if you want to wait for her pin, its a long wait. I think Baldurdash has a fix which reduces it. However its not an option for you.
If her "Good Morning" dialogue is over, just pause the game before you go to sleep. Wake-up, unpause, and get the pin.

 

Just in case: Shrikant is talking about REAL sleep, not resting in the game

I think the timer is much more than 3 hours real time, closer to 24 IIRC.

To answer some of Kavik's question, the pin is a good item you can give her, which grants her some bonuses that may or may not be useful this late in the game, depending on your play style. It is tied to the romance, in that getting it is the last event and concludes the romance (on the SOA side anyway, things pick up again in TOB). You also get to find out who Terminsel is, in case you didn't figure it out yourself

 

Hmm... I thought it was just that the timer was a lot longer than the 1 hour I had read. You definately want to start the Harper's Quest early in the game, haha. I've let it sit about 4 hours now, in the past two nights but It probably isn't worth it if it is a 24 hour wait, haha. This is keeping me from continuing right when I get toe the end of SoA, haha

I'll probably just continue on without it, I thought it was +5 to all saves but saw somewhere that it is only +5 to saves v death which isn't nearly as important. She has bad saves compared to my other characters but since it will only actually fix one category it's not as important as I was thinking it was.

I guess I can live without one character specific item, haha.

I think it adds 5 to save vs spells, which is worth keepin

 

Isn't it only save vs death?
Anyway, too bad it gives immunity to lightning of all damage... it's probably the least common one. Still, it's got some deeper significance, so I tend to keep it.
