Cespenar and Crafting Items

    [​IMG] Ok, I figured out that some items need the same "component" to be upgraded, and I thought I would share it with you, so you won't regret your choice later on (like I did, because I didn't knew at the time). You can only have one of the upgrades, so choose carefully the one that fits to your party.

    The components involved in this are the following:
    Bowstring of Gond
    Heart of the Damned
    Eye of Tyr

    With the bowstring of Gond you can upgrade the following items:

    Darkfire Bow +4 - Short Bow
    Taralash +4 - Long Bow
    Firetooth +4 - Crossbow


    Improvements added to:

    Darkfire Bow +4:
    Becomes +5 enchantment level (+1 to THAC0).
    -1 to speed factor.

    Taralash +4:
    Becomes +5 enchantment level (+1 to THAC0).
    -1 to speed factor.

    Firetooth +4:
    Becomes +5 enchantment level (+1 to THAC0, this THAC0 applies only to the crossbow, not the magical bolts)


    With the Heart of the Damned you can upgrade the following items:

    Short Sword of Mask +4 - Short Sword
    Gram the Sword of Grief +5 - Two-handed Sword


    Improvements added to:

    Short Sword of Mask +4:
    Becomes +5 enchantment level (+1 to THAC0&damage)
    15% chance to drain 1 level from opponent with every hit

    Gram the Sword of Grief +5:
    5% Magic Resistance when equipped
    Each hit target must save vs. death (with a -5 penalty) or lose 1 level


    With the Eye of Tyr you can upgrade the following items:

    Purifier +4 - Bastard Sword
    Carsomyr +5 - Two-handed Sword


    Improvements added to:

    Purifier +4:
    Becomes +5 enchantment level (+1 THAC0&damage).
    +10% magic resistance.
    Cast Dispel Magic twice per day.
    Cast Mass Cure once per day.
    +1 additional damage to Chaotic evil opponents.
    -1 to weight
    -1 to speedfactor.

    Carsomyr +5:
    Becomes +6 enchantment level (+1 THAC0&damage).
    +1 additional damage to chaotic evil opponents.
    -1 to weight
    -1 to speedfactor.

    Thanks Lokken. I made the mistake (for my party) of upgrading the Firetooth crossbow. I would rather have done the short bow.
