    I can't find a copy of it anywhere. None of the links on Spellhold are working, the one link I found that did work took me to an empty folder, etc.

    Anyone have a link to a place where I can download the Big Picture?

    Spellhold Studios has a download centre; Big Picture is about in the middle of the page. Based on the notation at the top (and inside info about Dragon's Hoard being down temporarily), I'd try mirror 3 first, followed by mirror 2 if it doesn't work. GL.

    Actually, none of those mirrors work at the time I'm tying this. Since you really have no other options, you can get an SPS account here at SP and get access to an area where you can download all the large mods, or wait until one of those mirrors starts to work.

    I take it an SPS account requires money? [Which I don't have much of.]

    This does not work? Otherwise, there are plenty of mirrors here.

    Do you have the authors' permission to host the Big Picture, btw?

    The author as in, of this thread, or creator of the mod?

    And I'll check those links when I get home from work; thanks for posting them.

    [IMG] Kasera Silverblade, that was aimed at me, you can ignore it. You get an SPS account for supporting SP with a donation.

    SConrad, read Felinoid's post. He's already linked to the same page you did, and talked about the mirrors there. At the time I was posting, none of them worked, but the mirror you've hotlinked works at the moment. But anyone who's been paying any attention knows that "intermedia" is constantly going up and down, so it's hardly reliable. I know because I've linked there previously and got reports of the site not being accessible or timing out on a daily basis.

    And no, I didn't get express permission to host anything in the SPS area, since it's all publicly available content. Especially when it comes to larger mods, I'm definitely doing the mod authors and people who want to play the mods a favour by at least providing a download location that consistently works, unlike all the other mirrors. The downloads are not public, so it's the same as if I was sending them to someone from my own hard drive (which is actually exactly what I'm doing), which means it's a bit strange to expect me to get permission for each of them before sending it to someone. If I had enough bandwidth to be able to serve the large mods to everyone I certainly would, but unfortunately SP is already consuming most of its bandwidth as it is.

    All of the large mods are also listed on SP and the links there go to free download mirrors. I've mentioned getting an SPS account here as an option since none of the mirrors worked at the time. I'm not forcing anyone to support the site in order to download those mods, I'm merely providing an alternative. Getting quick and reliable download access to all the large mods that have always been problematic in getting ahold of is merely one of a number of benefits SP supporters get, and it's aimed to be a convenience to them, since they have a central location where they can download all the large mods fast, or at all, if all the other mirrors are down. Which unfortunately happens now and then.

    I really doubt that any sensible mod authors would prefer that when all the other mirrors are down, there is no single alternative download location for their mod available at all. But if that's the case, then by all means, they can contact me via PM or e-mail and explain how not having their mod available anywhere else every time all the standard mirrors go down would be beneficial to anyone and I'll be sure to remove the mod in question. And point everyone asking for an alternative download location whenever all the other mirrors are down at the explanation why it's better that they aren't able to download the mod anywhere at that point.

    To be honest, it's never even occured to me that any mod maker wouldn't want me to host any of their large mods, considering we all know how hard it is to get reliable download mirrors for them.

    SConrad: Thankyou, the link you gave works and I'm downloading the mod as I type. [Yay!]

    Taluntain: I've got no problem donating to SP, [I've been using it over a year], it's just having some money and being able to send it is my problem. Do you take money orders?

    Now, my next mod question.

    I see a lot of NPC mods. Lately I've wanted to try a few. Saerilth, Yasraena, Fade, Kitanya, etc... But I can't stand the voicing. It drives me insane.

    Can I remove the voice files without screwing up my game, so whenever the mod characters speak, it's just text and no user-recorded voice?

    [IMG] Kasera Silverblade, I wasn't really asking for donations here (I do that elsewhere ;) ), I just mentioned the only alternative at the time. It's not like anyone's ever decided to support SP in order to get to the mod downloads, but I just thought I'd mention it in case someone else desperately needed to get the mods and couldn't wait for any of the mirrors to start working again.

    But if you really want to donate, then sure, just PM or e-mail me and I'll give you all the details.

    As for your mod voicing question, it should be possible to get rid of voicing easily enough, but you'll need to wait for someone more familiar with this aspect of modding to suggest what the best way to go about it would be.

    The best way would be to look at what .wav or .ogg files there are in the mod directory, and then delete them from your override directory (any .oggs will have become .wavs) after mod installation.

    What if I delete a custom music file? That's going to suck horribly, because the creator's intended "feel" will end up being compromised by the lack of "mood music," if you will.

    How do I tell the difference between Voice and Music?

    @Kasera:
    You'll have to do two things:
    </font>
    1. For the standard responses you can simply go into the character's record page, hit 'Customize' then 'Sounds", and select a different soundset.
    2. Go into your override folder and replace (not delete) all the .wav files pertaining to that character with an empty file of the same name. To simplify it, you can just record a fraction of a second with your mic off (or if you don't have one, all the better) and duplicate & rename it multiple times.
    I can't say for sure that this will get everything, but it should unless the modmakers did something abnormal.

    EDIT: Ah foo, Andyr beat me to it.

    Does anyone have a magical link to a place where I can get Shadows over Soubar, The Darkest Day and Tortured Souls? [Required for BP.]
