Ascension and Imoen... *spoilers*

Alright, so believe it or not, I finally finished a game with the Ascension mod installed. Now in my party, I have 3 tanks, and 3 spell casters...Immy being one of them. So Mellesan summons up Irenicus and Bodhi for yet another fight with the two...but she also causes Immy to be removed from my party, and then turns her in to the Ravager. So I have to kill her after I tried casting Heal and Greater Restoration on her...with no avail. Problem is, now she's dead, and there's no way of raising her! Frustrated, I reloaded and tried a few things to try *not* to kill her, but I gave up and ended up un-installing the mod.

Is there *any* way of not killing Immy and being able to get her back in to the party?

Also, speaking of the end of the game...when I finished, I was really disappointed with the length of Aerie's epilogue. Everyone else had an epilogue that took several minutes to read...while Aerie is given a short paragraph that took about 10 seconds to read!

But that's my two cents...but back to the mod...I really think that the improved battles with 4 of the 5 Bhaalspawn are great, but one more fight with Jonny and Bodhi, was a bit repetive and boring; and forcing me to kill Immy is just crossing the line!

 

I think just killing Bodhi and Irenicus without attacking Imoen at all works. She changes back to normal.

 

Hmmm...It's kind of hard to just ignore her while she's beating the hell out of Kelsey and Aerie. Perhaps I jumped the gun by un-installing it...if that's true. I needed to get the updated version anyway...

 

Whay did you kill Immy? I casted a Protection from Magic Energy on transformed Immy and bombarded JonBon and Bodhi with Abi Dalzim's, whilst Immy was immune to my damage. Continous use of 4 PIs+2 TSs and 2IAs plus a nice Glitterdust for JonBon's SIivination, and a few comets which did not kill Immy luckily, made the battle a breeze. After I killed the two, Immy returned to her senses, and was VERY grateful as I did not kill her.

Another idea: Why didn't you maze or imprison Slayer Immy? After the battle you can use a Freedom scroll to get her back. (hopefully)

Did you fight the Big Mel in Ascension, and the five again? Di you have Balthazar with you? Did you have Turnabout mod, I summoned Gorion to my help with it, and he even casted a magic missile or two! Regardless, it was cool! I initialy thought about getting Khalid back, since I was in love with Jaheira, but the result was not satisfying, I HAD to leave Jaheira to her rightful owner (!) so I re-loaded.

New epilogues are excellent, if you ask me. Me&Jaheira had a baby! A child raised by the two most powerful mortals in the Fearun! Immy's was funny, she pickpocketed Elminster for fun, and fought a dragon because it was 'rude' to her. And lots of other funny things! Much better than original epilogues if you ask me. I didn't check Aerie's, so I don't know hers though.

 

Nah...I gave up after several reloads while trying not to kill her while I was dealing with Jonny and Bodhi.

Like I said, perhaps I was a bit hasty in uninstalling it...but I was so close to the end of the game that I had little patience. I'm going to be getting a new hard drive soon, so when I re-install everything on it, I'll give Ascension (and a few other mods) a try.

 

Did the ascension mod change Viconia's ending too? Sad that she dies.

 

I don't know...I haven't had Viccy in my party for a loooong time. I usually take Aerie instead because a C/M is better than your generic cleric.

 

I concentrated on killing the other two and cast maze on Imoen everytime she appeared.

 

Had you convinced Balthazar to help you? His monk powers can help a lot against Irenicus and Bodhi. For one thing, he has a move (I forget if it's Solar Stance or Lunar Stance, one of those) that makes him immune to Time Stop, so he can take on Irenicus even if he manages to resolve a Time Stop spell.
