    Hi, mates,

I have a question. How can I extract a person's dialog in Near Infinity or any other softwares for BG2, like other people did?

    Thanks.

Do you mean just finding the dialogue files or actually taking them from the game and putting them in a text file?

IIRC (it's been a long time) with SK (which is easier for me to understand than NI), I went to Creatures and looked for the file name similar to what NPC I was wanting. Generally, I did the click and search method. :p To get the dialogue out, just highlight, copy+paste.

    Hi Kuemper,

Yeah I want to take the dialog file from the game and put it in a text file.

Does "SK" mean Shadow Keeper? And what is IIRC?

    Thanks in advance.

SK is Shadow Keeper and IIRC is 'if I recall correctly'. As I said, it's been a long time since I looked through BG2 files, so my directions might not be that accurate.

Oh can you find dialogue files by SK? I did not know that. How exactly?

You cannot find dialogue files with SK. SK only affects savegames, character files, and creature files. In addition, it can look at (but not touch) item files and spell files.

I believe what kuemper is referring to is Infinity Explorer, the tool we both used in making our ToB romance guides. It can be found here.
