    Club of detonation! The BG saga seriously lack of Club I mean who would have a gratious, sword wielding elf when you could have a clumsy human wielding a 3 foot large piece of wood?

    Anyway What Cespenar said about it was so funny:

    Can somebody explain to me why the Spectral Brand +5 is so great (15% in the poll)?

    OK, it has Negative Plain Protection, but I'm not even sure what that protects against. And it has 2 pretty decent once/day spells. But you only use those abilities on special occasions, so that means most of the time, you only have a pretty decent +5 sword.

    * Constant negative plane protection is extremely useful in this game since there's so many enemies that this defensive ability works against.. It protects from those nasty effects like level drain from certain types of enemies like vampires.
    * Armor Piercing - +10 THACO for 3 rounds against enemies with very low AC
    * Summon Spectral Blade - 8-11 extra damage for 4 rounds

    7-19 damage for regular attacks

    It's a very well rounded weapon, making it possible to free up some slots for other items.

    I think that although the nice enchantments that the the Wave have, the Dragon's Breath is the better and overall the best halberd for Soa... although the topic is refered to ToB...

    Minsc is tied up with the Ravager in all my passthroughs... In fact Minsc is tied up with everything - he can be deadly with any weapon you put in his hands... :)

    It's nice to fight a tough battle and loot the place to find a +5 sword, but in my opinion, it can be overpowered. I prefer a decent sword with a nice special ability, or bonus, like Lilicor, or the short sword that allows you to haste x times per day. (forgot the name) It just seems more personalized to me, but everyone has their own oppinions.

    Seems to be missing my all time favourite weapon though!

    Staff of the Magi.

    What a beauty. Can you tell I like my mages?

    Before anyone says: You only want it for the special abilities... Well, true to a degree, but trust me, my solo sorcerer with 21 strength (belt) didn't half batter things with this!

    I just couldn't bring myself to wield Crom with a sorcerer.
