[IMG] I'm a bit new to the MOD world really- and just recently installed 2 NPC MODs.

But I'm just wondering, [please forgive me for sounding stupid], how do you uninstall MODs?

    :deadhorse:

    No really.

Run the executeable file again and you should get an option to uninstall the mods.

    Which ones are they?

I have both the Tsujatha "romance" mod installed and the NPC Auren Aseph.

I decided they're hardly worth it..

Again, I apologize for being a complete dolt on this matter. :) I've never been big on the whole thing about installing stuff here and there because I've always been far too paranoid. [bugs, viruses, etc.]

    thankyou for the help.

Everybody's new to something once; don't worry about it!

As Kuemper said, just click the setup exec file for the mod in your SoA folder, and the WeiDu window will appear, and give you the option to uninstall the mod.

But don't be afraid to try out mods...most of the more established ones out there are fairly bug-free, and once you get more comfortable with them, you'll maybe even learn how to avoid or fix bugs yourself. A good rule of thumb is to check out the mod's forum before you download it, and see what kind of bugs have already been discovered. And if a mod's, like, on V 6.0, chances are good it's mostly clean.

Also, if you download a mod from one of the established BG forums, like Sorcerer's Place, Gibberlings Three or Pocket Plane, you can be reasonably sure they're virus-free. I've never gotten a virus from a mod yet!

(And don't THOSE sound like famous last words... )

If a mod uses Weidu (a very user-friendly program), it is very easy to install and/or uninstall, really. And %95 of all BG2 mods are Weidu based now, you should avoid non-Weidu mods anyway. Just copy all components of the mod to your BG2 folder, and use the exe program to install/uninstall/modify the mod, it is easy, the program will automaticaly direct you, and you will only say 'yes' or 'no' to its questins. (would you like to install this component? or that? or uninstall? what?)

I have 50-60 mods, and my BG2 is very unique, challenging, thrilling, and something new every time I start a new game. I would never play a game without mods now.

I seriously encourage you to install new mods, if you obey the installation order, there will be little problem. Be sure you get you mods from official and secured places like SP, G3, Pocket Plane etc. and you will be fine.
