[IMG] I've just finished out Watcher's Keep and Sarevok was a killing machine at one point, dishing out 22 points of damage followed by a second killer blow of 200 points of damage versus one of those Ferrumach Rilmani broads. I wasn't using any special abilities.

I'm pretty sure this isn't a bug. The 200 damage is sarevok's special ability. Looking at my game what happens is if sarevok deals the death blow he deals another 200 overkill damage and when the monster dies something called fatal assault happens, which i have no clue what it does, but a fire thingy forms over the guy's corpse. Besides looking neat i don't no what it does.

[IMG] Yep, I've seen it happen several times now and that fireball/implosion thing the critters do is awesome. Another cool thing is Jaheira's new staff (I forget which one) that can even knock an Adamantite golem out cold and then half way across the room at that. Of course, he only stays out for a round, but still...damn!

I'll have to check tonite, but I got it in WK. Cespenar might have upgraded it. I was being facetious about the implosion comment, but his fireball thing is nice though.

The only staves that come with the game that have an effect you describe, with Jahiera's "staff", would have to be either:

    1. Staff of the Ram +4, which has a 10% chance of knocking back and stunning a target creature (except for "large" creatures like Dragons and Giants).

    or...

    2. Staff of the Ram +6, which you get from Cespenar after upgrading it with Roranach's Horn, which has a 15% chance of doing what the +4 staff did. It also dishes out 1D6+12 crushing damage +1D4 piercing damage.

It seems to be something of a super critical hit. If you read his bio, Sarevok trained to become a Deathbringer Guard, a bunch of guys with the ability to kill with one hit. That's been translated into a massive 200 points of damage when the ability procs. This way the Deathbringer Assault is very powerful, but can't kill absolutely anything like the Quivering Palm.

Like they said, its the deathbringer assault, and there is this sun like graphics when it occurs, also, I think it's occurence is like a 5% or 10% thingy like those other special abilities in swords like the Vorpal... and usually 200 is enough to kill anyone, and if it doesnt, youve got nothing much left to hack through him if he's still alive
