    Okay I held the lady hostage and got myself the ransom, so now...what do I do with them? The first merchant I went to wouldn't buy them. Is there something I need to know about these things?

    Okay I did the search but there's a fair bit of secrecy and edits involved. So without telling me the whole thing is there a code I can use to get the gold ones, since I never found them in all the times I played BGI

    The Gold ones are found by completing one of the quests in the Friendly Arm Inn. Speak to the people on the upper levels. They were one of the items that I found first in BG1.

    The code is "MISC47", btw.

    CLUAConsole:CreateItem("misc6k") gives you a golem arm. "misc47" is the correct code for the Golden Pantaloons as Rastor said.
    I know for a fact since I have tested them all when I created my own cheatcodelist :)
