When you go to the BG2 section, there's a whole selection to choose from. Just download the one(s) that you want and it should tell you how to install it as well as a thorough description of it.

I was thinking about a mod as well, which one were you thinking of getting?

If you are a fairly experienced player ask me about mods to install I know lots.

If you are still newbie, do NOT install mods, finish the game a few times unmodded. This is my reccomendation.

Oh and BTW do not use caps on forum headlines, it really annoys Taluntain. I did that mistake once.

Well installing the patch on your first playthrough is really recommended, otherwise you'll have the ''is busy and can't talk right now'' bug which is really annoying ...

Here's what I would do. I'm not very up on computers, but this is how I'd install a mod. I use WINRAR on Windows2K. YMMV

    1. Download mod.
    2. Open zipped file - it might look like a stack of colored books.
    3. Read a readme if provided, for more instructions.
    4. Look on the menu bar for Extract.
    5. Click on Extract and you will be putting the zipped file(s) in the approproate directory on your computer. There is a drop down box for choices. Possibly C:bad:Program Files\Black Isle\Baldur's GateIISoA
    6. When done extracting (about a minute), click on My Computer>Local Drive (C)>Program Files>Black Isle>Baldur's GateII SoA. In here should be the .exe file for installing the mod.
    7. Watch the program do it's thing. Some fill the screen with words and some don't.
    8. When finished installing, try the game. If done correctly, you should be able to see the mod changes.

Winrar is an archiving program. It takes files and compresses them into a smaller, more manageable package. It's like Winzip, if you've heard of that.
