Beating Faldorn w/ Tactics mod installed using Jaheira

how do you beat faldorn, she has some sphere around her @ always summons 3 dread wolf's to help her. have tried many things, but nothing works. help

I posted a thread about this ages ago ... it is almost impossible to beat her with a druid before ch6 as I found that you needed L7 spells to combat her.

 

How about creeping doom?

 

the problem with her is getting it off quick enough to take effect as she does loads of summons as well and it runs out before she is dead ... she doesnt need real munchkin tactics like some of the improvements you just cant tackle her as early as some of the other improvements ... and with jaheira it will be even harder as she is dual-class so we be even weaker as a druid ... you could try cernd as he will be higher level and will have L7 spells much sooner than Jaheira

btw ... cast doom/plague at the wolves not her, as they are far less likely to save against it

 

Creeping doom and insect plague have no save. They can be blocked by magic resistence but I doubt Faldorn has any MR. You can easily kill her with a mage.

Beef up your druid before the fight obviously. (improved haste etc)

When the fight starts, you can get you equipments back (except amor) by having a character standing close to the pit and hand (toss) them to the druid you are using.

Cast scroll of protection from magic so Faldorn's spells are all useless. Then use as many ironskin to block her physical attacks. Hopefully you can kill her before you run out of ironskins. Summon a bunch of things would also help.

If any of your summons or yourself is damaged, you can let an outside character use rob of resurrection to heal them.

A couple of other items are also useful. Like Jaheira can use Vailor's helm to summon a simmy and the simmy can use protection from magic. (multiple)Ring of the ram always work, it can damage and disrupt Faldorn's casting. If you have the sola mod installed. er... Sola can actually dimension door into the pit !!!...

Or seriously just leave her alone... Is your main char a druid ? What kind of char or party do you have anyway ???

I think you can also have your other characters cast spells on your druid whilst they are in the pit.

 

Darn. Can you cast stuff like skull trap on the druid? If so Faldorn will die real quick.

 

I honestly am not really that certain; I don't know whether you can cast anything on Faldorn, but I'm pretty certain you can at least cast spells on your own druid.

Someone should do a test.

 

Yeah I'm just saying, if you can cast skull trap on yourself (with protection of magical energy and such ), it ought to damage Faldorn as well.

btw, Faldorn may be immune to nature's beauty and creeping domm. Nor because of MR, just plain immune... Can't really remember though...

thanks, for all the help I'm going to get cernd and let him handle this. by the way my party is made up of 5 made characters and jaheira for romance. pro= f/th , f/m , berserker , inquistor @ c/m. this party gives me good melee, magic @ healing. since this is the first time playing with the tactics mod installed. i wanted to create characters with good stats.

Don't forget that if you still can't defeat her, you can always have Cernd do the dirty job for you
If you DON'T take Cernd in your party then you will meet him again outside druid's grove temple.Tell him that he has to fight Faldorn and that you don't want him joining with you.Then you will be teleported in the temple and Cernd will do the rest ...

I still say a Slayer change could win it. Of course, it would have to be a quick fight, or else you would die just because you are the slayer.
