    I went from BG2 as a NG character seamless to TOB, then I just started playing and went for the dungeon Key from the Waukeen priestess, she wouldn't give it to me! I Wondered why, then I noticed that my character has become EVIL!
    My reputation is 17 and I don't recall this happening. I've checked the earlier savegames in SOA and my char is still NG there. I checked with my very first savegame (right after the intro) and my character is already evil by then, so it has nothing to do with anything happening in ToB.

    Is there a savegame editor out there that can reverse this?

    You can fall to evil alignments if you follow any of the evil paths in the hell trials. Your alignment will change as you place the Tears of Bhaal into the door.

    Make sure to avoid the battle with the dragon.

    We have a choice in every trial, right?

    Sarevok Slayer = no/yes
    sacrifice = yourself/companion
    genie+sword = give/kill
    cloak = reject/take
    Dragon = don't kill/kill

    So doing 4 goods and 1 evil will result in evil? I did 3 goods 2 evils, just curious for my second run through, that cloak is really a fancy one and if 1 evil deed is enough to change you evil, might as well take the xp from the dragon and the free sword ;X

    Yes. If you don't act like the hero from the book in all 5 trials you'll become evil.

    The reward you gain from using the tear at the door depends on which way you solved the trial, so a choice which seems advantageous first can be worse.

    For example: Killing the dragon will in fact yield a lot of XP and equipment, but not doing so will yield a permanent increase in some elemental resistances.

    There is also a mod's 'Improved Hell Trials' component which introduces Neutral choices, so you can end up being Neutral in alignment, which is cool!

    What are the neutral decisions there?

    You can only free the genie by giving it the sword or killing it - I don't really see any middle ground there

    You need the mod Silverstar mentions.

    That's a riot -- SoA is not like NWN. In NWN your alignment has a number value attached to it -- you can slowly (or quickly) become more evil or good. In the hell trials it's wham, bam, thank-you maam. No amount of good deeds wil erase an evil act. Once you shift to the dark side, you're gone. Seems kind of unfair since I've not heard of an evil character shifting to good in the trials....

    It's easy to become evil, but then there is no way back. :evil:

    Saving the life of 4 people then killing one innocent still makes you a murderer. :p But the trials in the Hell in BG2 could have been made better in this respect, I agree.

    The Book of vile darkness cites, that demons are so irreversably corrupted and evil, that every soul who listens to them, and perfoms just a single act under their influence, is doomed to the same fate as the demons, as in, becoming evil, and that there is no way back once that happens. Which does make some sense.

    First of all, you can read everything about the Good/Evil/Neutral bonuses here.

    Secondly, the neutral options.

    **Spoilers**

    Pride: I guess i'll have to kill it. No i won't kill you mr. Dragon.

    Selfish: > Attack the demon.

    Fear: Were the nymphs killed for the cloak or already dead?

    Wrath: Not sure.

    Greed: Can i borrow the sword? > You give it back when you first arrive in the Pocket Plane in TOB.

    **Spoilers**
