How do you beat "Mordenkainen's Sword" ?

    I'm pretty sure this is the spell that was cast against me. I was fighting two Raskasha (in the Jan quest), and one of them got this spell off that summoned a huge sword that was attacking me.

    The Raskasha were easy enough to kill, but that darn sword kept chopping at me! I had to summon monsters to keep it busy and run to the other side of the room because none of my attacks could hurt it!

    How do you hurt it? Keldorn's Dispel Magics did nothing as well.

    Mordenkainen Swords are only vulnerable to magic attacks. You can just shower it with magic missiles, or any other damaging spell.

    Alternatively, Mordenkainen Swords have low durations so you can just wait them out.

    Mordenkainen's Swords are summoned so a Death Spell will see them off. Alternatively, move away and wait as the duration of the summons is not great. BTW, in the Jan Quest you fight githyanki not rakshasas.

    the most simple offensive magic spells will take down those annoying (and low HP) summons. dont get me wrong, they're awesome till they turn on you. two magic missiles should shut it up, unless you get lucky and one does the job.
