    Hi all,

I've been playing playing Baldur's Gate 2 and I discovered an annoying bug with Korgan. I'm using the English version of the game and used the Bioware patches as well as several of patch fixes at baldurdash.org.

My main character was level 12 and I decided to get Korgan and do his quest. My party consisted of the protagonist, Minsc, Jaheira, Yoshimo, Anomen, and Mazzy.

I removed Anomen and got Korgon but I noticed that Korgan could barely move far when I tell him to. What's worse was I couldn't save at all and a "cannot save in a middle of a dialogue" message appears even though I'm not talking to anyone. I tried reloading my game hoping it was just a glitch but it happens every time.

I noticed though that Korgan could move normally and I can save when he's at a considerable distance from the party but the problem persists if he comes close. So I tried reloading an older save at Umar Hills before heading to the Temple Ruins and the bug doesn't occur. I tried reinstalling BG2 without the the ToB expansion and it was fine. But when I installed ToB with the patch, the bug emerges again. The odd thing though is this didn't happen in my previous game and I had ToB installed already.

I've checked bardash.org and other sites for a possible fix but to no avail. My hunch is that its a ToB bug triggered by completeing Temple Ruins quest or possibly the Mazzy and Gorf quest. But I'm not completely sure since it's just my observation.

I don't know if anyone else has heard of this bug. If anyone knows where to find a fix for this (or could make one), kindly let me know. Thanks in advance.

No. I didn't use any mods at all to alter that file. The only unofficial stuff I used were the fix patches found in badurdash.org.I forgot to mention that I was using multi-player mode when this bug occured if the game mode has any significance.

I tried reinstalling BG2 and ToB a few more times but the bug was still there. Then I decided to delete all the files and folders except the saves and characters and installed SoA again.

I got Korgan and did his quest and removed him from my party when it was completed. I then installed ToB and recruited Korgan and it seems that I managed to bypassed the bug from happening, at least for now.
