[IMG] Like any other WeiDU mod, you have to run the mod's installer in your game's installation directory, by default at C:bad:Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\

Make sure the names of all the setup files match. A lot of auto installers try to go straight into lthe weidu installation, but I've seen a few instance where, because of funkiness with the self extracting zip, the setup file doesn't match the name of the .tp2 file. The tp2 and the exe should match up. If the tp2 file is RoV.tp2 then the Weidu .exe should be setup-RoV.tp2. Sometimes that is the problem. Also, it can sometimes be that the weidu just can't run automatically after unzipping your mod. If that's the case, all you need to do is rerun the weidu.exe after running the self extracting zip file.

the TP2 file is FR_ROV.tp2 & the setup-FR_ROV is this what your talking about not being the same. if so how do i fix this problem, please remember to give me a detailed solution as i'm not that great at the inner workings of the game.

If you are getting the message that dialog.tlk cannot be found, then you are not extracting it into your BG2 directory (though I am aware you have posted you tried again). I'd try another time--that's pretty much the sole explanation for that error message.

(The other would be that you for whatever reason deleted dialog.tlk, but then you'd have problems as no text would appear in the game.)

Try Drew's way -- first run the .exe and check if it ends by saying that you should run it again because "sorry, Windows won't let me do this." In that case, simply run the .exe once more and the mod installs just fine. (And DO make sure the mod un-zipped/-rared into the BG2 folder in the first place.)

[IMG] That's because you have it inside the "FR & ROV v3" directory inside the game's install directory. Move everything to the root of the game's directory, one directory up. dialog.talk and the mod files need to be in the same directory.

It cannot find one of the mod folders--I think judging by your prior posts you have the files one folder too deep, and you perhaps just moved the setup program up one level rather than the whole mod?

I would extract it again, to your BG2 directory. So your main (dialog.tlk-containing) directory. You should end up with setup-FR_ROV.exe and a folder called FR_ROV in it.

did you try running it! Maybe you have file name extension as not visible in your folder options?

I'm not sure. Perhaps your download or installation is corrupted.
