Thief Stronghold and SpellHold

    [​IMG] Just out of curiosity, I have just started SpellHold and I have a thief stronghold.
    I presume that sooner or later Renal will want his cash and I won't be there. What will happen?
    All other stronghold I have done before do run by themeselves after a while and a few quests, but this one is the only one that constantly needs me (god knows why)

    Gosh,
    I really don't know why I have to be present to give the cash. Surely the other tart can do it for me.
    I have to admit that although the quest to get the stronghold was alright, the ruling of this guild is a bit of a disappointment.
    I was expecting a tad more.

    Where is the thief stronghold? I haven't seen any posts about that one...The mages get the Planar Sphere, Rangers get the Umar House, Fighters get Nalia's Keep, Paladins get a bunk in the Radiant heart (which sucks by the way!)...I also don't know what the Cleric's stronghold is...

    If this has been covered elsewhere, I apologize, but I haven't heard about these two.

    The Thief Stronghold is Mae'var's Guild in the Dock District. It is given by Renal Bloodscalp.
    The Cleric is given by the chap that asked you to investigate the Unseeing Eye quest. You get a room in the Temple of your alignment and have to play Psy to some chaps.

    i didn't loose the Thieve's Guild when i went to Spellhold. i cant remember exactly how long i was gone, but i am sure i was gone longer than the allowed time you have to pay Renal. i wouldn't worry about, but pay the dues the minute you return to the city.

    You do NOT lose the Thief stronghold. I don't know anyone who lost it upon adventuring out to Brynnlaw/SpellHold/Underdark. The game designers allowed your management/fees to be 'suspended' while you undertake your quest for Imoen.

    However, when you 'resurface' from the Underdark ol Renal starts the tab again. However the Thief Stronghold is by far the most 'conveniant' stronghold just due to having a merchant inside that can buy/sell stolen goods. Not to mention a gaurd posted outside -who helped me once during a battle with 'spawned vampires'.
