Max Experience Points - Bad Bad Bad

    [​IMG] Just a quick one ,
    I am playing a mage , but have just discovered today that the max exp point will not take me to 18th level , therefore no 9th level spells. Why does interplay tease us like this , all those cool spells can never be used.

    You're supposed to cast them from the scroll since you can't memorise them.

    Sorry about that , being stupid , misread memorise for writing into spellbook, which you can do.

    So if I manipulate (cheat) the XP level , has the extra level of spellcasting being catered for.

    Just by the way I am currently on lvl 11 , so have quite a way to go, before I can try that.

    Well... They've got to leave SOMETHING for you to do in the expansion. *hint, hint*
    Obviously, as was the case with BG1 expansion where you got to cast level 5 spells, so will be with the expansion to BG2 where you'll get to cast level 9 spells.
    So you see, there's always a reason behind stuff like this. Usually marketing. ;)

    just a quick question , If I use the xcap remover , get my char up to say 20th level and then dual class to say cleric, will this character be able to work in NWN or any other BG game.

    I know they include the xcap for a reason , but its pretty bleak , if you want to have an experience character.
