Ranger Bow and Arrow questions

Which arrow should i use with my ranger i have a nice pile of cash so i mainly want to know which are not to hard to getand which has good damage and a good THAC0 can arrows affect the rate of fire too? Plus is EagbleBow the nest bow ? is there better in Tosc?

 

Dare I make a slight suggestion?

I will - I've seen a few of your posts round here, and whilst I can see at times help in a game might be needed. Most people get stuck at points in various games on occasion, the rest won't admit it, and to avoid a bit of headbanging, then maybe some help might be needed, together with finding more out about the game upon completion, whta you might of missed.

Anyway I'm digressing a tad there, but try and find out some of these combinations for yourself, what you find to be either conveniently found or cost effective, half the fun in games like this is the experimentation of how to do things.

Well since you're in the mood for constructive criticism, I'd like to suggest something. Now don't jump down my throat, as the last time I tried to give someone pointers on how to post, that's exactly what they did. I'm sure you've been posting like that for a while, but the whole single stream of thought thing is kinda hard to read. I mean, do you ever use any punctuation except for the end of your posts Don't think that's personal; it's just I've answered a few of your guestions but when you write them in one, huge, long sentence without any puntuation whatsoever, well, it's kinda hard to follow and sometimes your point gets lost in there somewhere. Just some constructive criticism. Take it to heartl; blow it off. It's all the same to me. Happy posting

Yup. Improve that posting, pal. I almost lost the interest after trying to read the first sentence in the first post. With improved posting, you will then get more replies I believe.

About the subject, when you got a mage as target, I would advice, use arrows of piercing, for with a ranger and that arrows you'll never miss. Arrows of biting are also good against mages for the poison-damage interupts next spellcastings. Use arrows of Detonation to damage a whole group and against fighters, just arrows of ice/fire.

The Eagle Bow is the best Short Bow but I would give a short bow to a thief in your party and use the Long Bow of Markmanship for your Ranger (long bows gives better Thaco then shortbows)

Wow, quite the uppity little fellow for someone who really isn't much a part of this community. Perhaps you seek to lead by example. Well, Darkhunterz, here's your chance to learn. You see, obviously what these boards are about is particuarly nasty flammings and bashings for no good reason. So I say lash out at everyone else, enemy or not, regardless of whether they have offended you or not. You see, as a long standing member of this fine community...er Nazi regime, Sintek, an obvious contributor of quality over guantity as can be evidenced by his last post, simply wants to show you down the path to the true meaning of these forums. The true nature isn't about helping others, whatever the cause; it's simply here as a means for people to sound off on people they know nothing about and bash the hell of them. So bash away....

Now, Sinetek, what exactly is your problem. I don't believe anyone mentioned your name in any of the above posts. If you want to poke your nose in other people's bussiness, that's fine. But at least be courteous enough to do it pleasantly. If anyone is the asshole around here, it's you. In case you just missed the entire point of my above post, it was meant to help the guy. If he wants to post in one huge run-on stream of thought, that's ok, but you know as well as I that it's hard to read, and it's very easy to loose his point in the middle of all that. I never said he needed perfect grammar. I just wanted to help him get the most out of his questions. I don't have any kind of problem personally with the way he posts. I think I've replied to all his guestions and been as helpful as possible to him (much more than I can say for you). But, regardless of what you might say, it IS easier to read his posts with a little punctuation or line breaks or something. I never went off on a rant; I didn't flame him; and most importantly, I didn't mean it to be rude. He didn't seem to have a problem with my advice, either, in case you didn't notice. I was very careful not to offend, and he took it as helpfull I believe. And honestly, that's all it was meant to be.

Since you obviously don't spend much time around here being helpful (as evidenced by your 40 posts here in almost 8 months), I'm sure this doesn't have a lot of impact on you. Suprising to say, this board is about discussions and helping out each other with their problems. In your 40 posts, have you managed to do anything but flame others in the majority of them? It would suprise me greatly based on your last one if you have. And what I amazed the most at is that you bash the way these boards are run. For what reason? These boards are the best run forums I've ever seen. They are run fairly and with as little moderation as possible. There are very few times I've seen where anyone has had to step in take action against anyone here on these boards. Nazis? I'm sorry, but I don't see what grounds you have to say such. The only reason your post would garner you the attention of the owner or moderators are, for one, the absoloute offensive nature of your post, and, for another, the fact that you might as well have kicked Tal in the shin. I mean, if you want to get banned, bashing the owner of these boards is the best way to go aboout it. And your flatering language helps out your cause very little as well. Before you go spouting off about how these boards are run, regardless of a longstanding membership or not, I think you should get into the community a little first before you decide to bash it.

o and i been busy on the forum, cuase i saw BG on my desk. beatin once but to many questions with no answers to play again (i got this game from my freind so i have no book.)
And i really wanted to try another class besides a boring human fighter. but i had no idea on really how to play besides the basics. well i decide to give this game one more chance. cuase i found this site.
