If I plan to solo with a sorcerer, which alignment should I use to get the most useful familiar for the sorcerer?

    [IMG] Hi,

Well it depends on what alignment you want to play, this should come first (if you are role playing :).

    Otherwise....

Cat, rabbit or ferret are good familiars for solo sorceror, because of their theif skills, particularly find traps ;) , cat is the best scout, rabbit is the fastest.

Don't use your familiar as a fighter, unless you want to take a permanent -1 con and loss of hp. They are just not tough enough to survive.

    Cheers,

    WittyNewt.

Try Chaotic Neutral; it's fun to play and you get a Cat as your familar. Roman Grigoriev's Sorcerer FAQ is very useful, and you can find it at SP!
